  1. FLA is like SC, seems like anything goes.
  2. I stayed in Hollywood once and there was a dog track across the street from my hotel.
  3. We always stayed in Hollywood (not the one in Cali) when I had to go there to work at Dania Beach. Worked on both sided of FLA. To me it all looks the same, the Pan Handle, the Atlantic side, the Gulf side.
  4. It's storage related if it was stored (not in a case), leaning against a chair and then gravity took its toll.
  5. She had to have grown up Catholic. Did that thing on SNL. Renounced here religion, and converted to Islam, and changed her name to Magda Davitt. I used two listen to her first to albums when she was popular. Then the one came out with all the covers on it and the only song I could listen to is Success Has Made A Failure Of Our Home. I like it better than Loretta's version. Just read the police in England (where she passed away) do not think there it was drug related or anything suspicious.
  6. If you know what your doing it is. I’ve wired many guitars. Like I said if your unsure about what you are doing take it to a pro.
  7. Do you not remember being born or Lauderdale? Both?
  8. If we ever meet up make sure to keep that guitar in the case. I don’t want to touch it. Happy another trip around the Sun.
  9. It’s called Standard in the title. Then they call it a Studio in the description. Either it’s a typo or Gibson doesn’t know what they make. Hey marketing guys and add exec’s stop taking 3 martini and 4 joint lunches.
  10. She was 56 https://apple.news/Az6xHkeaIShS5nXWsWr1URA
  11. I did it once and I think punishing the guitar I got about a volt. Now I only play acoustics.
  12. It all does start at the pickup, being a coil or the L. That is the entire reason you electric guitarist need an amp. When strumming real hard you may produce a volt or so. Why in the hell did they chose L for inductance anyway?
  13. What's the return window on a Russian Bride? Do you need an RMA?
  14. All my 15 Series Martin's were Satin. One good thing, you don't polish them unless you want to never have it satin ever again. And No No and No, 18's and higher need to be gloss. I wish Martin would stop following the stupid trends, and do what they are good at. Stop with the guitars that are new and are supposed to look like they are from the '30's. They have so many models its ridiculous.
  15. Here is the deal with buying something on the internet. You have a good experience doing it until you don't. Steve Ford certainly know that first hand.
  16. Agree. I use a little bit of steak sauce on mine when I'm a rebel.
  17. It certainly is, but having 3 posts it divides the voltage according to where you turn the knob and where the whipper is. A variable resistor just drop the voltage across the whole resistor depending on where it set, but you can vary it. If you only use 2 posts of a pot, the whipper and one of the others its basically just variable resistor. Connect another wire to it an use all three and now is working as a pot. And pots can be linear or audio pots that's another who ordeal off how the turns on the pot affect the output. I think it has to with how its wound inside. I'm just a dumb electrician and know what the military taught me. I'm no EE.
  18. Down the street from where I lived in Virginia we had a place called The Pizza Castle, now its a Cook Out. Great shakes.
  19. That one is my favorite kind of Castle. I was introduced to them in NJ in '81. I have had them in the Detroit area.
  20. I know. I wish you would come back and do it again.
  21. I went to a castle in Switzerland. How did you kiss it if your lips didn't touch it. Like sex, if little DanvillRob didn't make entry you didn't have sex.
  22. Who knows the the new regime under Cesar will do?
