I think that's about as good as it gets! My Luthier lives about 20 miles away.... so when I take him a guitar.... he has it about a week.... he's usually finished in a couple of days, but I just can't get there immediately.

I've been notified and had to call in and check the web site. I've never been called to actually serve. I've had to testify many times in Federal Court and Superior Court, (as part of my job). I doubt I'd be called since my B-I-L was a police officer until his retirement, (40+ years),and I have a very good friend who was a Superior Court judge,(40+ years), until he retired., not to mention my 'Far-Right' leanings. But now that I'm retired..... if called and selected, wouldn't be a big deal.

My Luthier is an old family friend. He closed down his shop last year and retired. He's still does some work at his home, so I can still get stuff done. He's a transplant survivor....so you always wear a mask in his presence. He was the guy who sold me my first Gibson back in 1972 or so from a local music store...and he is best friends with my brother-in-law. He still does my set-ups and just recently installed the Trinity pickup in my J-50. I'll probably have him install the Pickup in my Dove soon.

I posted this just to show how challenging this song is to do. Makes you appreciate just how polished professional musicians actually are. This song was in my old chart book, (I’m certain I never performed it….probably wrote it out and said, “screw THAT!”).

He did the Beatles (individually) in oil...as well as Jerry Garcia. How 'bout this one then? He did it to replace the jacket for our 45.... I still have original one I was given in 1966..it has this jacket on it now: He actually did a copy of this , but I tried to find out who had it a few years ago, and no one seems to know. -

My brother is a pretty fair artist..... here's a water color of Niel Young, he actually got him so sign it: A pencil drawing of my old Jaguar he did when he was a kid (15 or so): How about a pencil of Steve Howe he did as a kid, (probably playing an ES-345!): -

We went to Amsterdam a few years ago....it's fantastic.....so many museums..... was so close to Van Gough paintings I could have touched them (but of course, I didn't)...not covered....not guarded by a person....heck, I'd have them guarded 24/7! -

I don't know how serious Chicken Pox would be in an adult..... I suspect that's what I would base my decision on. I know I damn sure don't want shingles ever again...so I got the shots. -

I kinda like how Tucker Carlson answered someone who asked him if he'd been vaccinated..... he said, "When was the last time you had sex with your wife, and what position? As long as we're asking personal questions!" -

BBP, you seem angry. I don't pretend to be 'tough' (I'm no longer in 7th grade), I just said I don't have the other factors that cause so much problem with the COVID virus, such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, obesity, and such....I only have age. I got it.... and got over it.... I have natural antibodies now, so there is not scientific reason for me to get the vaccine. There is also no scientific reason for you to fear me because I refuse to get vaccinated. I won't tell you to not get vaccinated....that's YOUR call...don't tell me to get vaccinated...that's MY call. I suggest my head is where it's always been.... I do NOT take things our government say as gospel, (you have to recognize our government drafted me, sent me to Vietnam, then sprayed me with Agent Orange...that has killed WAY more of us than Charlie ever did!)...so you'll have to excuse me if I'm somewhat skeptical. -

Here's what I know.... If you've had chicken Pox, the virus still lives in you.... when you get older, and your immune system gets weaker, or stressed (or both) the virus can flare up again in the form of shingles. So, if you've had chicken pox, you're at risk to get shingles.... someone with shingles can give a non-chicken pox person Chicken Pox, but can't give them shingles. -

I'm with ya, ol' buddy..... Can't wait to play music again with all my departed band-mates. -
I guess I'm into the Eddie Rabbitt part of my old Chart Book! I was 'luke-warm' on this song until I recorded it....now I kinda like it.

I think I fall into the "older folk" category here. My doctors said about 4% of people never lose the neuropathy pain...so I guess I'm one of the 4%. On top of that, the vision loss is permanent....so Shingles kicked my butt. COVID was tough....but when it was done (about 10 days) I'm good as new! I have all my charts posted on FaceBook, (about 400 of 'em), and the newer entries are mostly 2 pages....because I can't read the smaller print. There are folks my age with worse ailments....so I ain't complaining, (after writing an entire post complaining!). -

Yeah.... well...I'm in my 70's.... and there are people with ailments a LOT worse than mine. My best friend in the world, (since we were about 12), got diabetes, went 100% blind, and lost all feeling in his feet and hands, (he passed away last October). I asked him many years ago if it was a real bummer to be blind....he said it wasn't as bad as not being able to play guitar anymore. So....here I am.... can't see well....but...still alive and can still play guitar okay, (some say I never could play very well). -

I've talked to many people who have had shingles...they say the pain is awful....that's NOT my concern. I lost vision permanently in my only good eye, (one eye is called "Lazy Eye", and now the other has scar tissue from the shingles virus). COVID put me on my back for 10 days..... then I'm back to normal.....can't see crap, but feel just fine! -

This crap makes we upset..... there are people buying these inferior guitars (and other products, I suspect), and THINK they have the real thing. Some of these manufacturers in Asia are pretty good...they should concentrate on their own unique line.
