  1. I was quite lucky, the first live gig that I ever saw (my 'big sister' took me) was Mott the Hoople and they were supported by Queen. It was quite an eye-opener seeing this rather strange fellow prancing around the stage singing Hey Big Spender and Jailhouse Rock!
  2. When I saw Queen in 1974 Brian had a Les Paul on a stand as a backup guitar. I remember that quite clearly.
  3. It's always good to have a look through this chap's archive, he knows his stuff when it comes to ES335's, also I think you may be able to contact him for advice: The Gibson ES-335
  4. I think I'm going to have to pass on both of those!
  5. I don't know, but the first time it happens it does feel a little eery πŸ™‚
  6. I hope that doesn't give the impression that I'm any good at classical because I'm not! I'm still learning, it seems to be a never-ending process. Looking on the bright side I will be visiting a fascinating place called Cta.de Gomerez in Granada, Spain later this year. It's a street that, 25 years ago was lined with Guitar builders, but sadly there are now only two left. When you enter the shop's they tend to lock the door behind you (I think for privacy) and the luthiers workbench serves as the shop counter. Needless to say I am looking forward to my visitπŸ™‚
  7. I very rarely practice with the exception of classical.
  8. I rather like this, see what you think:
  9. Sorry to hear this, it sounds like a great loss to your community.
  10. Ok, but if they did that how on Earth are they going to sell increasingly accurate reissues?
  11. A variety of interesting Les Paul's compared by Guitarist Magazine, a bit on the long side (it's an hour and a half!) but there are some interesting bits.
  12. Did you notice that they increased the diameter of the cardboard tube in the centre of the rolls a few years ago?
  13. Yes, sorry about that πŸ˜’
  14. 31 is far too young, what a terrible tragedy. RIP Trey, I hope you find Jimi, Gary, Peter, Jeff and all the other guitar Gods to jam with.
  15. Here's the video where the Chinese people are identified: The gentleman standing next to the girl is Jeremy Hunt the UK's Chancellor of the Exchequer.
  16. Sadly Melanie has passed away. I always thought of her as the epitome of 60's youth. RIP Beloved folk singing legend who featured at Woodstock dead aged 76 (msn.com)
  17. There's something magical & enchanting about this, thanks for posting πŸ™‚
  18. I don't think so, some of the Chinese people have since been identified, one of them having been photographed in the company of very senior UK politicians.
  19. The Chinese people are behaving as though they are in a Beijing railway station and they have ultimate authority. It later transpired that some of those Chinese people were members of the Confucius Institute, a Chinese Communist party group that has infiltrated UK university's and, I believe really should not be allowed because the whole organisation is working to influence young people's minds and has pretty sinister motives. As regards the Police Woman, she has no understanding of what the Law is, which is not a good quality in a Police Woman.
  20. This is an incident that happened in a UK railway station. Those Chinese people were very keen to remain incognito, but what they've actually managed to do is become a Youtube sensation and it also seems that their actions are being looked at by MI5. Incidentally, the stations Piano was donated by Elton John.
  21. I've never seen anything like that and I've never had any strings popping out of the nut, the only time I could imagine that happening is if the nut hasn't been cut properly.
