I noticed Lester didn't have a bound neck on most of the "Les Paul Recordings" he played. The one I owned was bound. I'm going to say these guys liked binding LESS as they got older.

BINGO ! And after many decades of gigging I would have told you you were NUTS a year ago for saying this. My experiments with picks started out costing me $40.00 for a single Bluechip. Let the insanity begin.....
