  1. Makes me want to cut a rug and boil some crawfish...
  2. You would have loved Gruhns when it was downtown. They were a Gibson dealer back in the day, too. I like the new store, parking is a he11uva lot better. Nice find, George don't have no junk, I got my mandolin from him (old location) and then let them dress the frets a few years ago at the new store. I even have a t-shirt !
  3. I could go either way. Just about this, I mean.....
  4. You surely saw Jerry then. I'd be curious how many New Years gigs he did there...
  5. Post some of your stuff that will rock the house this morning ! I'll start with a tune from the 1998 (yes, 21 years ago) recording of Murphy Slaw. Sorry no real video on this one. The first lead break is Owen with a single coil G&L. My SG with a Marshall comes later.
  6. Wow, that is awesome. Can't wait to hear it in the hands of a Cajun !
  7. Man, that's light. Good on ya, you know we're gonna need pic's. We're sick like that...
  8. We're like a bad penny... Good to see you checking in old timer. You know I was just razzin' ya...
  9. I keep burning them, they keep building them...
  10. Sal can do this gig in his sleep. Piece of cake.
  11. Outstanding.... Well played.
  12. I'm glad to see us getting our swagger back...

For those of you afraid to take your Gibsons to a gig, campout, etc. He was playing this guitar with Scotty Stoneman in Ash Grove, no doubt. Just a cool story, I know it's not a Gibson, but it could have been..... https://www.fretboardjournal.com/features/58957-tony-rice-and-his-holy-grail-martin-d-28/
  14. Yep. "That path is for your steps alone"
  15. I never could stomach them. Won't click...
  16. This was Jerry "in the Round" in 1975. Watch till the end.
  17. A great artist passed away last Christmas eve. He was huge in Phoenix, larger acts would actually open for him in the Valley.
  18. I really enjoyed the Country music Hall of Fame museum years ago. A lot of vintage instruments, an Elvis car, Rockabilly stuff. It's been years, but we enjoyed it. Congrats on the tres decades.
  19. Slicker than a snail trail, ole boy...
  20. Huge fan of Mesa, This Blue Angel was my workhouse for the final years of my bar gigging electric days before going acoustic. It's got a British Mullard for a rectifier, nos 12AX7's, 6V6's and El84's and is a KILLER. Notice the Blue Angel has no gain, just a volume knob. Crank it, baby. Someday I'll have to let it go I guess. Congrats on a fine rig that will outlive you.
