  1. Yup, when I buy new, I want it to look new. If I want old, I'll buy old.
  2. Buying a fake aged guitar is right up there with buying expensive jeans with rips and holes. I'll age my clothes, myself, my guitars, and anything else I own all by myself, thank you!
  3. I have the Advantage plan from United Health Care. The copay is basically zero, except specialists ($50.00) and maximum out of pocket is $6800.00. I needed my knee replaced a few years ago and thought I would need the $6800.00 for that. Turns out the plan paid for all but about $800.00 for surgery and hospital stay and I needed to kick in about $1400 for PT. I have been with UH for 7 years in the Advantage plan and think it is great. I am in good health and rarely need to see a doctor. If your health isn't so good, maybe one of the more inclusive and very expensive plans may work better for you. If you are in good health, save your money and go Advantage.
  4. But think of the prestige of owning an exclusive instrument. I think they were even ashamed to publish the price, making you call them for it. Did you give them a proper @$$ chewing?
  5. I did find one site that indicated CS is Custom Shop, first digit is the year in the decade. "1" meaning 01 or 11 or 21, etc. the second digit of "0" indicates it was made in Nashville. The last four digits are production sequence. No idea how to figure the decade. I have my Certificate bearing the year 2021.
  6. I have a Bengal Burst Access that was made for me in 2021, received it in November last year. The volute follows the headstock to just below the CS serial number. Mine is an M2M mainly because I wanted the cherry back and neck like the original Bengal Burst and not the black. I also spec'd Grover Keystone tuners. Near as I could find was they were first made in 2008. They did not have the longer volute back then. My Serial # starts in 1 and was made in 2021. Your serial # also starts in 1 and may have been made in 2011? You're right about Gibson numbers being confusing.
  7. I ordered my M2M Les Paul Access Bengal Burst through Dave's Guitar in Lacrosse, WI. He can handle the order for you and have it shipped anywhere for you.
  8. You could contact Dave at Dave's Guitars in Lacrosse, WI. I went through him to order my M2M. You can call or email (I emailed) and let him know what you want. He will give you a quote and get the ball rolling for your Dream Guitar. Then the payments can be arranged and the guitar shipped directly to you. Dave has three stores with the main one in Lacrosse and the other two in Milwaukee and Madison, WI. My guitar was shipped to Milwaukee, closest store to me. It will take some time to get it, though. Expect a year or more as production has been slow with covid and supply chain issues. Dave is Great and he will treat you right.
  9. Happy Easter and God Bless.
  10. No, Unfortunately. I watched as the ROC doper stole the gold and another ROC fell on her *** and stole silver.
  11. I like watching the different sports, but ignore the NBC BS. NBCs coverage sucks. I wish a different network would run the Olympics. But, alas, careful what I wish for.
  12. I don't know if you could consider my M2M order for a Les Paul Axcess Bengal Burst a one off order. Last February I ordered that guitar to be made with specific tuners and the Cherry back and neck. I did not want the Black back and neck and Gibson had been using several tuner styles. I specified the Cherry and Grover Keystone tuners. I got the guitar in November.
  13. YUP!!! All the time. Some I wish I never heard!! LOL
  14. I would NOT use lemon pledge on a Martin, either. I use a product called Cory Super High Gloss Piano Polish on my guitars and black Baby Grand piano. It is made to safely clean polyurethane and Lacquer finishes. Cory does make one specific for guitars, but I think it is basically the same thing. Available on Amazon. Protect that Beautiful Guitar, and the Martin, too.
  15. My 2011 50th Anniversary SG-12 and my 2021 Les Paul Axcess Bengal Burst arrived as perfect as can be expected. I'm a Gibson and Martin Fan. I think they are GREAT.
  16. Yup, Landslide. Been working on my fingerpicking using that and "Dust in the Wind" as well as a few other songs. The window trim is a Mexican weaving and the rug is a machine woven Oriental or Tabriz style, I think. Had them both for many years and not particularly valuable. I do have an extensive collection of authentic Navajo weavings. None I would walk on. LOL
  17. It's really hard to tell when a guitar needs moisture or drying. Generally, changes in tuning indicate the instrument is either drying out or getting soggy. Our home uses a whole house (April Air) humidifier to add moisture or, in the summer, over cools to dehumidify. I try to keep the house in the mid 40s. I also keep the guitars in a display case that is humidity controlled. I keep them at around 48% humidity by adding cups of water or desiccant packs, depending on the level of humidity. A case like mine is not cheap, but worth it id you have several really nice guitars.
  18. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope the New Year brings us Great Peace, Health, and Happiness.
  19. Thanks for the comeback, Karloff. Yeah, I think they are meant for headphones and not Bluetooth ear buds. I exchanged the Bluetooth buds for some Sony in the ear MDR-XB55AP Extra Bass phones. The ear pieces seem to hold really well and sound great. Only $28.00 at Best Buy. I have to try the video thing. I just updated the firmware. Really easy. I'm really liking this little amp.
  20. I picked up a set of Bluetooth earbuds last night. Tried to pair them with the Mustang Micro. I don't think that will work. I wasn't able to get anything to pair. There is nothing in the manual that indicates it will work and I was just hoping it would. Anyone have this Micro amp and had any success using wireless earbuds? I guess I will exchange them for lightweight earbud wired phones. I do like the amp, though.
  21. I think I will look for some Blue tooth earbuds. Then I can ditch the cord and the headset.
  22. I just got the Fender Mustang Micro Amp and tried it out on my Les Paul Axcess Bengal Burst guitar. I haven't had a chance to really explore all the settings and amp models yet, but just plugging it in without moving the settings it sounds great. I don't have a really good set of head phones, just a set of cheaper Koss phones I bought to listen to TV at the YMCA while on the cycles. This is really nice to have for practicing and not disturbing anyone. You can also move around the house and leave the amp put. The little guy just plugs into the guitar and you plug in the phones. Very light and portable. It models many amps and effects. I will keep posting information as I explore this cool device. Also is rechargeable with supplied cord.
