  1. Sweetwater has this one with a trapeze bridge for just $2,700. πŸ™‚ I'm gonna shut up now. 😞
  2. I cut out all sweets nine years ago. Haven't had a candy bar, any cake, a slice of pie, or a donut in all that time. Not a bit. If somebody bakes a birthday cake for my birthday, I thank them kindly, and I watch everyone else eat it. I won't touch it. I eat lots of fruits and vegetables, and though I eat a lot of meat, I select good quality, lean cuts of mostly organic meat. I swim every other morning, sometimes five or six times a week. My one downfall is that I love beer. And beer loves me. It clings to me. Mainly around my middle section. 😐
  3. Thank you for this information and perspective, good sir. That's great to know. I must confess that I coveted a Stratocaster copy recently that appealed to me mainly because the wood grain (visible thru the sunburst finish) was so oddly-assembled and imperfect. It was a lot like this one. I'm weird, I know. I loved it. 🀫
  4. I feel the beginnings of rheumatoid arthritis in my index fingers lately. Hoping that if I get it, it advances very slowly! πŸ˜”
  5. As I said before, I respect you, ksdaddy. And now I respect you even more. Thank you for this elucidation. I'll try to be less of a pain in the arse in the future, accordingly. πŸ™‚
  6. That may well be true. Fellows in Southern California might perceive it one way, and a bloke near Manchester could possibly view it another way altogether. I reside in Northern Alabama, but have been all around the world most of my life, and spent an inordinate number of years in Europe and in the Middle East. I'm a lifelong student of human psychology, and your viewpoints and perspective on this very matter are valuable to me in my quest for learning and growth. To your very valid point, if it was nobody's business but SGT Pepper's and ksdaddy's, don't you think that a more succinct summary might have been more appropriate? "It was dealt with outside of the forum," obviously. Short and to the point. "Sarge and I communicated privately. It's all done." Splendid also. But, "no further explanation is needed or forthcoming," strikes me as so much, "nothing to see here, I am the great and powerful Wizard Of Oz". Eh. That's just me. I welcome your input and perspective, as I said before. πŸ™‚
  7. I wasn't butt-hurt, old friend. Nor were my feelings hurt. Truth be told, I'm pretty thick-skinned. I inquired about Sarge, and was told he had been banned for bad behavior. A sad state of affairs, surely. Then, out of nowhere, Sarge is back, and all is normal, with no explanation whatsoever. Nobody OWED me an explanation, but I was curious as to the general conditions and situation of his very temporary banning (perhaps so that we may all benefit from the knowledge of what exactly rubs the moderators the wrong way). So I asked. ksdaddy, who I respect greatly, responded simply, "It was dealt with outside of the forum and no further explanation is needed or forthcoming." Now. "It was dealt with outside of the forum," I can understand. But the, "no further explanation is needed or forthcoming" bit seemed just a smidge too much like dictatorial arrogance. And thus the image from Schindler's List. (I may as well have used an image of the current individual who serves as the White House Press Secretary, when you think about it.) If I am stepping over the lines of board decorum, I am sure I'll hear about it. And I'm fine with that. πŸ™‚
  8. I agree, 100%. They should lock this thread before somebody really gets their feelings hurt. 🀫
  9. I prefer to leave my memories of The Beatles in a grainy, black and white, soft focus. πŸ˜—
  10. It blows my mind that Gibson would market a Korina Explorer, only to apply coats of paint over it. A crime to cover up such beautiful wood. πŸ€”
  11. dmsroy, If a headstock repair was made, and the luthier applied too many layers of paint, it could conceivably fill-in and obscure the serial number imprint. Here is how that Studio's serial number would appear in original form:
  12. Have you tried joining a local book club or Star Wars Comic-Con fan group? It's a great way to meet people, and to make new friends. Avoid internet dating sites. There are a lot of con artists on there. Good luck. πŸ™‚
  13. This from Fjestad's Blue Book: The Reverb dot com prices are all over the map. https://reverb.com/marketplace?query=Kramer Focus 3000 🀨
  14. Ah. Okay then. I understand. I won't make further inquiries. I promise. πŸ˜•
  15. So. Is it just me, or was Sarge banned earlier in the day, and is now un-banned? Can somebody explain, including Sarge? (I need to know the ground rules and left-and-right-limits of impropriety around here.) This whole scenario is like the Twilight Zone all of a sudden. Please explain. 🀨
  16. What did the fish say when he swam into a wall? Dam. 😞
  17. I'm not that big a fan of Blink 182, but Tom's signature Gibson (and even the Epiphone) ES always appealed to me. Not enough for me to actual buy it, but I always loved the aesthetics of the thing.
  18. All's well that ends well, I guess. If Sarge wanted to get himself tossed from the boards, and that appears to be the case, then he's happy now. And so life goes on. I personally never had a problem with the guy. But then again, as a writer, I enjoy drawing inspiration from all types of people in the crafting interesting fictional characters. C'est une expΓ©rience intΓ©ressante, au final. πŸ™‚
  19. Cancel Culture is a bit more than a buzz phrase or fleeting fad of the moment, good friend. The whole, "you say things I disagree with, so I must destroy you, shut you down, and ruin your life" thing. It's an ongoing and all-pervasive issue, in this country anyway. And has been for nearly a decade. With little signs of slowing down. 😐
  20. I must confess a few things. * I have owned, played, gigged, and sold off at least a hundred guitars in my lifetime. I own a solid, stable, even dozen guitars at this point in my life. * I never once cared one iota about neck shape, scale length, fretboard radius, or tenon length. Don't know, don't care. A guitar either feels good, plays nicely, and stays in tune, or it doesn't. And I can happily adapt to anything. Hand one, any one, to me mid-gig, and I'll play the heck out of it. 😘
  21. This is an unfortunate turn of events. I never once had a problem with Sgt. Pepper, (FZ Fan, or any of his other incarnations). I found him a breath of fresh air, to be quite honest. I hate it that some number of you found him to be so objectionable that you would complain about him to the Admins and the Moderators. Damned shame, this Cancel Culture business. Damned shame. πŸ™
  22. For what offense, pray tell? πŸ˜—
