  1. Okay, I'll play. The NFL after 2016. High fashion/expensive garments. Jewelry. Your bejeweled piercings. Your sleeve tattoos and facial tattoos. Your botox-injected lips. Selfies in general. Rap music/hip-hop culture. Green energy. The January 6th Committee hearings. Basketball, any league, any level. Skydiving. Large cruise ships. Hearing your spoiled child's entire trendy first, middle, and last name in the grocery store while you chase them around, allowing them to raise hell and act like a brat. My car's extended warranty. Modern pop radio. Modern pop country radio. Electric vehicles. Scuba diving onto sunken ships. The Grateful Dead. Noisy, overly-loud, obnoxious exhaust systems on little ****-box Hondas, Mazdas, Toyotas, Scions, and Subaru's. Photos of how you incorporated kale into your lunch today. There are more, but I need to go crack open another beer right now. ๐Ÿคซ
  2. .......AAAAaaand, Brucebubs is banned again. I just got an email from him this morning. ๐Ÿค”
  3. A gorgeous job, good sir! ๐Ÿ™‚
  4. Itโ€™s very tough to make any money as a songwriter. I learned this in the early 1960โ€™s when I marketed a couple of my songs to a variety of American artists, and got turned down cold. I did manage to sell at least two of them to a young, relatively unknown British band known as Hermanโ€™s Hermits. But then they changed the lyrics all around, and so THEY made a boatload of cash, while I was left with pennies and scraps. It was very upsetting. See if you donโ€™t like my original lyrics better. 5. I went to Casablanca Records just last week and sold my back catalog. They gave me five bucks, and they validated my parking. So I got that going for me. ๐Ÿ˜‘
  6. I DO love the single Volume Knob and single Tone Knob. I wish all Les Pauls were like that. ๐Ÿ˜™
  7. I love Sir Paul. That guitar, eh, not so much. ๐Ÿ˜’
  8. A very nice collection, Marco. A versatile and useful arsenal of musicians' tools! And I can attest that a Mexican Martin is a fine sounding guitar. ๐Ÿ˜€
  9. I have three Gibsons and can grow a really nice, albeit silver white, beard. Sadly though, I can't take the itching, and end up clawing the flesh off of my face after about six days. A mustache and soul patch, kept short, it about all I can live with. ๐Ÿ˜—
  10. It's been a strange series of occurrences. And I was proud to continue to correspond with you via emails, hither and yon. Is there any chance that you ever uttered an unkind word toward Mark Agnesi? Because that is apparently a thing. ๐Ÿคจ
  11. Sure sounds pretty. God-awful ugly in appearance. But sounds good. ๐Ÿ˜‘
  12. This is everyone's chance to sing the praises of Yoko Ono, if that is indeed your inclination. She's in exceedingly poor health, and isn't expected to live much longer, according to all reports. (I mean, your last chance to sing her praises while she is still alive. There will be literally HUNDREDS of people out there rushing to praise her after she passes away. ) Such is the way of things with celebrities. ๐Ÿ˜—
  13. If I had to guess, I am going to guess: 2002 Gibson Les Paul Studio, with a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge position, and a mild case of buckle rash. Dusty. Needs a restringing and some fret end polishing. ๐Ÿ™‚
  14. I love and respect Paul Reed Smith. He's a good man who cares about making great guitars. I respect PRS guitars. They are well made and feel and sound great. But a Telecaster shaped PRS guitar is unnecessary. And a vulgar affront to all that Tele players hold dear. ๐Ÿคซ
  15. Nobody is more forgetful and fearing of early-onset Alzheimer's than me. Bruce and I are sympatico, in other words. ๐Ÿคซ
  16. I'm a big Adrian Belew fan. His late 1980's albums were the cassette Walkman sound-track of my time in the Persian Gulf during the Desert Shield/Desert Storm war. Until all my batteries died.
  17. It's an interesting premise. I agree with the spirit of what Rick Beato is saying here, if not the letter. But, like most pop music/pop psychology discussions, there's little hard science, and the hypothesis would be a difficult one to test. Love him or hate him, Jimi Hendrix did something that, for the day and age, was unique. And he became well known at the time for doing that unique thing that nobody else was doing. (Much like Edward Van Halen did a decade later.) Guitar players are to this day copping riffs and grooves from Jimi and from EVH. I guess you could call that influence. Will players in the year 2039 be copping riffs and grooves from Matt Bellamy and John 5? It's tough to say. ๐Ÿคซ
  18. I get it, really I do. But it's shameless pandering, period-incorrect, and (to me, anyway) repulsive. Like other trailers I have seen over the years where an otherwise classic 'Western' movie was thought to be improved somehow by inserting modern, hip street language. Or a classic 'Knights and damsels period piece' was thought to be more marketable by inserting modern rock and roll music. It's okay. I really should have just kept my yap shut. I don't watch TV anymore, and I haven't been to the movies in years anyway. It's for other people to discuss, I guess. ๐Ÿ˜
  19. Interesting movie, interesting movie trailer. And then, at around the 2 and a half minute mark, they completely ruined it by streaming some sort of hip-hip version of one of Elvis's songs. Completely unnecessary. They lost me at that point. Sad too. Gratuitous pandering to people who probably have no idea who Elvis Presley even was. And I get it. But I'm out. ๐Ÿค”
  20. Well, it helps to turn on some lights eventually. If it was a snake, it would've bit me. ๐Ÿ˜”
  21. So, is the owner interested in seeing your two guitars, and evaluating them for sale? ๐Ÿ™‚
