  1. And so I am back in my original incarnation, thanks to the efforts and dedication of ksdaddy. Many thanks, good sir. I will endeavor to keep a tighter rein on my password situation, I reckon. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  2. I ended up with a Chinese fake Gibson Les Paul gold-top a couple years ago (later sold to a buddy who knew and accepted that it was fake, but loved the light weight of it). It came in a 'Gibson' case with raised letters on the top cover. Very attractive, truth be told. Black outside, blue interior. Guitar-shaped, not rectangular. Darned if I can find any photos of it though. I'll dig around. ๐Ÿ˜—
  3. I love the tuxedo aesthetic of your Studio. Wish she were mine. Cracks and all. ๐Ÿ™‚
  4. I was literally climing a spruce tree today, to trim away limbs that threatened to interfere with power lines. ๐Ÿ˜
  5. Good morning, Paul. Is the case shaped like this one? The Gibson Protector case, in that event, from 1976 through the 1980's. I think there have been different generations of 'the chainsaw case' some even offered in the early 2000's. Unless I'm mistaken. ๐Ÿคจ

  7. I couldn't remember the right line, so I improvised. ๐Ÿ˜’
  8. Two fellows are in the locker room at the gym. "Say, Bill. I have always known you to get dressed in boxer shorts. How long have you been wearing those skin tight panties?" "Ever since my wife found them in the pocket of my work blazer." ๐Ÿ˜—
  9. All kidding aside, thank you for this posting, jaxson50. It's interesting information, and I appreciate both the history lesson and the perspective. ๐Ÿ™‚
  10. Happy Birthday also to Speed Death Metal Zydeco. 14 years and going strong, cher. Fo sho. ๐Ÿ˜”
  11. That looks really good! Do I remember that Paul played the lead guitar on TaxMan? ๐Ÿคซ
  12. Congrats! With that warm amp cover on there, I'm willing to bet that you could bake the fig bars IN the Deluxe Reverb, with the amp powered up. After the tubes got hot enough. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  13. On Redstone Arsenal where I work, we are about to witness the end of a different era. The Marshall Manned Space Flight headquarters building (hub of the famed Gemini and Apollo programs, and the STS as well) is about to come down, and I plan to be there to watch it. https://www.al.com/news/huntsville/2022/10/nasa-ready-to-demolish-von-braun-hq-at-marshall-space-flight-center.html
  14. I thank you for this, Sgt. Pepper. I have never been a huge Frank Zappa fan throughout my lifetime, but I must confess that your postings about him over the years have propelled my interest in the man and his music. I gave a listen yesterday evening to The Grand Wazoo, and I enjoyed it a lot. Some bands and some music sound very much dated (when you dig around and give a listen to old tracks from the early 1970's), and give them a listen for the very first time. Not so with FZ. It's always interesting, jazzy, oddly off-kilter, and fresh. ๐Ÿ™‚
  15. And what a steady, stellar job by bass player Michael Rhodes. Man, what a fatiguing performance! ๐Ÿคจ
  16. Joe is a fabulous guitar player. And he's an unabashed fan of guitar players, which is really great. ๐Ÿ™‚
  17. My 41 year old daughter drives a Benz, and her daughter (my granddaughter) drives a clean 2013 Nissan Altima to and from school and her job. ๐Ÿ™‚
  18. For many years I heard the lyric in The Edgar Winter Band's hit Free Ride as, Come on and take a free ride (free ride) come on and see your mama's side Come on and take a free ride! Of course, the middle line is come on and sit here by my side. Oh well. ๐Ÿ˜•
  19. I just want my silver jumpsuit and my flying car. Then I'll know we're finally there. ๐Ÿ™‚
  20. I am not cool enough to be a folkie. And I look silly in a beret and black sunglasses. ๐Ÿ˜‘
  21. Happy new guitar power system. I found myself in a bit of a funk lately, and realized the main impediment to my going in and plugging in a guitar in the music room is my tedious power-up routine. Before: Walk in, kneel down and reach in behind that amplifier to power on the 110 strip for that amp, bend over and plug in the electrical cable to the pedal board power supply, walk over there to kneel down and power on that 110 strip for the drums and Beat Buddy2 drum pedals, walk over there to power on that 110 strip for the PA mixer and powered speakers, walk over near my mic stand to flip on the power to my second amplifier (my pedal board is stereo-out), and then strap on a guitar to plug in and play. Now: Walk in, strap on a guitar to plug in, and press one button on the little wireless handheld fob that activates the new Utilitech 3-Piece Wireless Outlets system. Two steps to playing instead of six. Such a Godsend, this $24 bit of wonderfulness from the Lowe's Home Improvement store! ๐Ÿ˜€
