  1. Those are schaller style strap locks knock offs. I got a baggie full of those that I took off guitars. Not a fan of them personally, but if it keeps your guitar from crashing to the ground while performing Yngwie acrobatics....
  2. I think we have to recommend that Gibson confiscate the alleged guitar...
  3. Dude! I don’t know what model it is but I’d be interested in “the grabber” It looks like Epiphone screw spacing. Whatcha want for it? Edit: it’s a 70’s Gibson Bass! I’m hoping it would fit my Wilshire...
  4. So Gibson believes that you really and truly own it. You have to post pictures next to today’s newspaper.
  5. First off you need to post pictures of it, then contact Gibson.
  6. I thought I was buying a big screen TV.... there was a NOS Firebird X Zoot Suit and two bricks in the box... I found a use for the bricks.....
  7. I have been switching to the ACE reissue straps. They have a crappy pleather backing and don't really grip, but they are comfortable. I don't particularly like "grabby" straps, or ones wider than 2". This is my HP V.... sounds like a disease....
  8. There was a les Paul on the local Craigslist and that was the first I heard of the guy. I had considered the explorer, because it was the same price as the regular epiphone. My only hesitation is the fake p90 in the neck. Dummy coils don't appeal to me, but a non functioning one sounds worse. I have never had a qc problem with epiphone and if hate to start now.
  9. That’s purdy! I was looking at a few of them when I found my j45 20 years ago.
  10. My HP Flying V had a slightly repositioned button, but that was because they contoured the heel. I see no reason why they did that on the SG. Curiouser, and curiouser.... $4 straps and $2,000 guitars don’t mix. Unless you do double duty as the tambourine player, and lead guitarist, holding your guitar helps. Although some seem to have mastered both....
  11. I’d shoot for 50% less but it should be any easy fix, but what else is damaged? How was it damaged?
  12. I would have been after the pickups as well, the other parts would just sit in the parts bin mostly.

    Someone else can use them.

    Thanks,

    Angel

  13. I loudly criticized the management over the constant stream of Chinese spamming, was told to stop because it hurt the mods feelings, then told the mods to **** themselves. Here’s my BFG...
  14. I’m banned from tdpri. The BFG’s are sweet guitars. I have the p90, and was thinking of getting the humbucker one too, but a wilshire has got me distracted.
  15. That looks nice, I may hit my HP V and BFG with some of that stuff.
  16. I keep trying to sell out, but nobody’s buying..
  17. So where’s the pictures?
  18. I don’t know if anything is a real “upgrade” but a 57 and 57+ would not be a mistake.
  19. Dude! That’s tempting to pick up another, I got mine for $729... I’d get a HB model and put some ******* covers on the pickups... I am not a Neanderthal.... We don’t have uncovered humbuckers in this household.
  20. That’s a confusing short history... I got one of the newer p90 versions, I wish I had the humbucker in the bridge like the older version. Very nice guitar. And well worth the clearance price.
  21. It’s not the case it’s the guitar. Vanilla is a better smell than cat pee... don’t ask me how I know....
  22. If I'm paying that much I want one of the old cardboard cases with a broken handle, and duct tape holding it together as well. Bad Gibson!
