  1. I've never heard of that model. Sounds very good.
  2. I just bought a new Epi 59 LP Standard, came with everything except the wrench. The guitar is flawless and plays well.
  3. I think that's a standard guitar that someone changed the strings into baritone strings.
  4. Nice skills man, cool guitar.
  5. That is a pretty sweet looking guitar.
  6. Uncle Rabs....VERY nice. That amp will sing when you show her some power chords. It's great that she likes bands like AC/DC and Queen. I've been a huge Queen fan my whole life. I saw them in concert 3 times, the first show was in 1976, I was 13. I got a new Vox AC10C1 last week, it really sounds good. I love the tone.
  7. Glad she is still pursuing the guitar. Is she still taking lessons at school? Does she practice a lot? You're a good uncle for doing this. I have an awesome relationship with one of my nephews and a niece. I talk to them at least once or twice a week, and we do quite a few things together. I like how they can talk with me about anything.
  8. Very cool, sounds great. I've always been a huge Brian May fan, glad I got to see him and Queen in concert 3 times...the first in 1976 (I was 13) I did buy a new Vox AC10C1 last week. I'm amazed at the sound of this little amp, I'm impressed.
  9. Thanks for the info. I've read some articles about replacing the speaker, and/or the tubes. Opinions were on both sides. Is there any break in time on this speaker? Many home speakers benefit from a break in. This is my first new amp purchase, everything else was used. I'll probably play with it for a while before I do any mods, then I'll do one mod at a time.
  10. New Vox AC10C1 arrived late today. It looks better than I thought it would.
  11. It arrived today, and in perfect condition. The action feels great, but my amp didn't arrive in time to play through it.
  12. Excessive dust can kill an amp....cover your amps.
  13. Like Evans said it's probably okay since the lid closes easily. Just keep an eye on the fabric to see if the shape has any stress areas. Do you transport it often, or just to keep the guitar safe at home?
  14. Welcome Sam, lots of knowledge around here. Got any pics of your gear? We love pics!
  15. I've got a Epiphone Les Paul Custom Shop 59 Standard on the way, can't wait!
  16. I have a new Epiphone Exclusive 1959 Les Paul Standard from the Custom Shop on the way, aged southern fade color....can't wait till it gets here. Epi's are doing great according to the reviews.
  17. Have you ever considered an Epiphone? Their current guitars are wonderful, and they have excellent reviews. Current Gibsons....meh.
  18. I believe I would keep the LP.
  19. Sorry for your loss, I'm sure you have lots of good memories, and you gave him a good life.
  20. I have no knowledge about that guitar, but that sure cleaned up nice, cool project.
