KSG_Standard
Any movie lovers here? What was your favorite movie of 2008? My wife and I only went to one movie at the theater in 2008 and i thought it was worse than awful...but she loved it and that's what counts...right? It was "mamma mia" and I still have nightmares about it. I plan on watching some of 2008's movies at home on dvd. Of the 2008 movies i've seen on dvd already, I'd have to say that my favorite was... "Tropic Thunder"
saturn
Everything you said goes for me too, but I have'nt seen Tropic Thunder. Was No Country For Old Men a 2008 movie? That was probably the best one I've seen in a long time.

harmonicchaos
wall-E not only was it my favorite of 08' date=' it is my favorite movie of all time (dont make fun of me, i liked it :P ).[/quote'] Wow, i'm kinda surprised. Just watched that last night. It wasn't bad. Not my favorite movie but it was definitely enjoyable. My favorite movie was Twilight... NOT! Actually i've never seen the movie, never will, and no i won't touch it with a ten-foot pole. I want to see tropic thunder, Benjamin Button, Yes Man and pineapple express. Didn't see too many movies this year but i liked "Iron Man" and "The Dark Knight". Those are actually about the only movies that came out this year i've seen. KSG_Standard
Thanks for that one Cunkhead, I've not heard of it before, but Tim Roth is excellent (reservoir dogs!) and Naomi Watts is pretty cute...I'll check it out on my next flight. Robin Nahum
My wife and I were very impressed by Hunger. http://www.filmofilia.com/2008/05/15/hunger-steve-mcqueen-cannes-2008/ And no, it is not that Steve McQueen. We also liked The Savages. http://www.foxsearchlight.com/thesavages/ (slow load) Philip Seymour Hoffman is such a fine actor. The latter is about managing an aging parent. The former includes a segment with an aging parent. This seems to be a popular inclusion nowadays. RN
