Vintage Korean made, or new Chinese?

Try them both and decide on the ones in front of you?

I had this dilema over new MIC and old Korean Casino (Peerless) at very similar price, all the advice from years gone by about Korean vs old MIC no doubt are true but not now in my limited experience, there was nothing vintage about the Korean, playability and finish of the MIC was as good, parts in the Korean were no different, certainly no better, went with the MIC.

On paper the PRO you'd expect to be better but try the ones available against the korean and decide?

I'd probably go for the new one mainly because the smaller body appeals but also because an old asian (cheaply) made guitar (Korea was the China before China started up) may not have been particularly cared for over the years.

Still $300 is a good price so you can't lose too badly either way. [thumbup]

I'd like to play both guitars before I decided. But....

The necks are too thin for my taste on the Chinese Epiphones that I have played.

So if I had to buy untested I would probably go for the Korean

regardless where they were made; those are two totally different guitars. I guess it comes down to whether you wand a large body semi-hollow or the smaller 339. and of course, which one plays better.

that's right!... Musician's friend has a great deal on those right now.

Wow, no kidding! I see GC got in the act too. The P90 version is also reduced. I like my Dot over my 339. 335 is one substantial guitar.
