tedmac Posted February 16, 2009 Share Posted February 16, 2009 Congrats on your new purchase. I just bought a J-185 EC Maple, antique nat. All I can say is wow! This is the first Gibson and high end guitar I have ever owned, but I did play Martins and Taylors and they're sound just wasnt the same as the J-185. the sound of the J-185 is incredible. And, it will only get better with age. I will never sell this piece art. I am not sure how Gibson does it, but there guitars sound as though they're being amplified even when they're unplugged.
