enchong
Hi Guys, If money is not an issue...what is the best guitar strap, i would say maybe a 4 incher, that is best for a heavy LP custom custom shop? thanks
KSG_Standard
I ordered a strap from these guys last week, they look like good straps... http://www.eyelandenterprises.com/index.html I ordered the Aztec in 3" dark brown with gold snake. rockstar232007
I actually have a vintage strap that belonged to my grandfather, it's exactly like the one that Peter Frampton has on the cover of FCA, and that thing could hold up a Mack truck, even after some 30+ odd years! I also have a million other straps that do a pretty good job, but it's not just the quality of the strap, but more importantly, the quality of the strap-lock (if you choose to use one). RichCI
There is no "best" strap, only fancier and more expensive. Personally, I like a leather strap and strap locks; after that, as long as it looks cool. Buy whatever rocks your boat if money is not an issue. Here are expensive straps: Moody Leather Longhorn Leather (bought one from these guys) AF Designs
Blonde Beauty
Personally I like "LEVY´S", specially these ones (Gibson anniversary straps are made by Levy´s) http://www.levysleathers.com/product;cat,69;item,470;Padded-Leather-MG12PDX And the Schaller Security Locks http://schaller-guitarparts.de/hp135050/Security-Lock.htm?ITServ=C5ae01ec3X11fd65f0ec7X4c3f For 3 Reasons - Aesthetics compared with Dunlop - Simplier design, less parts, compared with Dunlop - More secure, if the lock fails ( very rare), gravity will hold the strap in place. Bluemoon
The moody straps are great...but way too expensive.
RichCI
I agree, Bluemoon. They're very nice and probably worth the money but I can't see spending a lot on a leather strap that I'm going to sweat all over and eventually cause to start rotting. phil325
i use some random guitar strap that used to be on an old acoustic of mine. i just took off the string that you wrap around the neck and put schaller straplocks on. works perfectly for me. may not be a 4 inch strap but then again my les paul only weighs like 9lbs.
