PantellicA
I´m not quite shure what to make of it, the dials, knobs and input are not placed as usual, the gibson headstock logo is bigger than usual, and there is a tremolo on it wich i have not seen anywhere else. rct
The serial number says it is from 2001. The rest of the guitar is not like any Gibson I've ever seen. That logo plain and simple isn't a Gibson logo that I know of. rct
gearhead
What does the end of the truss rod look like under the truss rod cover? Could you post a pic?

Sgt. Pepper
If Gibson is following there serial number system it was stamped the 312th day of 2001. So about 1/3rd of the way through November if I'm not mistaken. Never seen a Gibson headstock inlay like that. Edited January 26, 2020 by Sgt. deeman
Sorry bro, the trade happened a few years ago huh? That stinks. Anyway to trade back?
Dscan01
I have this same guitar with the same bridge but the headstock is regular gibson. I never had the trem arm tho - always wondered what the arm would be like as I'd never seen that type of bridge before

I think someone has simply removed the original trussrod cover and replaced it with a cover like ones used on 60 style guitars ( the original screw holes for the wider cover still there). And also smacked a Gibson logo on there as the old ones used to have, only it’s a bit bigger... can you post a pic of yours?

Thanks. rct

Sgt. Pepper
Unless I'm dumb or wrong both are different in every way. I've seen the ones that raise up like the one above, but the first one with the huge letters, never.

Not seeing any reason to replace a logo, so I'm not sure what is up with this guitar. rct
PantellicA
I could be just one of the owners preferred the old style headstock with the small dust cap and raised letters and tried to mimic that. The screw holes of the original wide dust cap are there. Edited February 2, 2020 by PantellicA
