Question on first Gibson Les Paul Classic

Hi Everyone!

Today I got my very first Gibson Les Paul Classic in Heritage Cherry Sunburst.   I am just now learning at the age of 42, so I am stoked!   I was looking it over (I ordered it online from a dealer) and I noticed the back of it has a seam.  It was just made in July of 2021 - but are they doing two piece backs on Classics now?   I just want to make sure it is not a defect or damage from shipping, etc.   I have a pic below.   The line is perfectly straight though, so it appears to be a seam and I can feel it a little with my fingers.    Thanks for your help!

Hello

I googled -

https://www.gibson.com/Guitar/USAI9Q269/Les-Paul-Classic/Heritage-Cherry-Sunburst

If you look closely at the (small) pic of the back of the one in the link...there's a distinct seam.  So yes you are correct - two piece back; looks bookmatched.

I didn't know that.

Best wishes!
