ppedrofonseca Posted August 31, 2022 Share Posted August 31, 2022 Hello, everyone!I am beyond glad to finally have been able to purchase my real Gibson Les Paul, a used 2019 Classic in honeyburst. I don’t live in the US, and, during a trip here, bought it off of a Reverb listing.The seller was really attentive and helped me with all my questions, but a few things have caught my attention:He said the older owner didn’t have the case candy anymore (which doesn’t really bother me), the truss Rod cover had been changed to a blank one, pickup covers were added and the tuners were changed to Grover tulips.I got the guitar yesterday and it feels really good, and almost everything looks right, except the wiring… I opened up the back cavities to see the wiring and, to my surprise, it does no look like what I’ve seen online about this guitars, as I doesn’t seem to have a PCB board. Also, the fret inlays caught my attention, as it seems that they were glued with way too much glue, leaving some excess… the 12th fret inlay feels a bit raised.Well, since I don’t live here, I only have until Friday to return it if it is, unfortunately, a fake. Also, the investment was pretty big for me, which makes me even more apprehensive.Could you guys help me?Thank you in advance. It does appears that the electronics have been replaced and copper shielding added to the cavity. It's not uncommon for people to swap out the PCB board.
