Geoffrey Lawton
Well - as things happen you have to go with them. I'm selling my J185 in natural. Guitar has plenty of volume and punch. I fingerpick it but it sounds great with a pick. There's little bit of fretboard wear around the second fret - under the e/b strings but it doesn't affect the play at all. Action is nice and easy with no buzzing. There are a few surface scratches as with any guitar that has been played but not abused. No chips, dings, cracks, etc., however. This one has the Maltese crosses (and orange label - in case anyone's interested.) And it's nice and light. Comes with the original case and has no electronics. Price is 1400.00 plus shipping. E me for pix. And thanks for your interest. Geoff landrylawton@verizon.net

Geoffrey Lawton
Thermionik and Groper You're most likely right. The last time I sold a J185, I kicked myself for quite along time. Which is why I bought this one. And this one is better than the other one. Many thanks for the advice. G.

ryanfender
I know this is probably not what you want hear but I have no regrets selling my J-185. The J-200 I purchased to replace it is my life long friend.

AXE®
My J-185 IS my acoustic dream. Things would have to be pretty dire before I ever thought of ridding myself of it.

Thermionik
. AXE® - let us see a picture of the 185, love to see what you have in the acoustic vein..... .....somehow never associated you with wooden tone boxes - more electric planks. Once upon a time I had a '52 maltese cross blonde J185. Divorce costs made me sell it. She was my acoustic heaven. Broke my heart (guitar sale, not the bloody divorce). . AXE®
'ere you go. Red was not my first choice, but this Custom Shop just boomed and bloomed when I played it.
Thermionik
. Heh heh heh - I somehow figured it might be outrageous but nice. I still prefer the older maltese crossers, but that is a fine looker..... .....expected nothing less from the guy who finds redheads on the beach! . .
