Thundergod
...by the way, I don't find them, or any guitar heavy.
DamienAzrael
You do that Thundergod...I'm sure I'll still be using a heavy LP Custom when I'm "old"...haha
solacematt
Honestly, I know the guitars I play now are a bit weighty, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Lightweight guitars just never felt right to me at all. When I'm 50 I'll still be playing weighty guitars because they feel good.

daveinspain
does anyone think the les paul custom 05 is too heavy? Get a chambered LP too... That way you can take a break and still rock!
Tim Plains
Customs are supposed to be heavier than Standards...and what's heavy to you, anyways? Mine is 10 lbs, it's not heavy.
Duende
My studio I have modded is 11.5 lbs although I play seated[biggrin]
matiac
My Epiphone weighs 10 pounds on the nose, I had an opportunity to play a 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom that wasn't as heavy as that Epiphone. I personally think they're supposed to be heavy. I used to have an old Les Paul Studio Dot (inlays) that weighed a frigging ton, and that's what I compare any Les Paul after to. retrosurfer1959
Jeez ! Im 50 in a few weeks and I'm still able to hold a LP just fine thank you. You want to try heavy get a LP Recording Model my 72 weighs 13.2 pounds and my 76 weighs in at 12.1 pounds and just think that's the model Les Paul himself played in his 90's with badly arthritic hands. So buck up ladies time to think about your Wheaties or maybe vitamins...

Boston004681
I like heavy Les Pauls, but I have to stand with them. There's no contours, and the body digs into my chest.
NeoConMan
There's not a Les Paul out there that's too heavy. If chambered is more your style, Gibson makes those for you too.... Oh, and I never play sitting down anyway.
