Hthomas
Hey guys, I was thinking about how my room in which I have all my gear in is to cluttered and the room doesnt seem very good for sound. I have this room in my house thats a perfect square empty room. I am going to be recording to see how different stuff sounds and I was wanting to pick the best room for acoustics. here are the pics. Hthomas
the empty room i think would be perfect, its a good sized space, and its empty so all my stuff would be perfect. wouldnt it sound better?
Blackie
where your amp is in relation to you and settings on your equipment will effect the sound much more than the slight difference between rooms.
Riverside
Do you have a yellow room to play in? You'd get great tone there.
Mr. Natural
Or, a white room with black curtains for that "woman tone".
flyingarmadillo
the empty room i think would be perfect' date=' its a good sized space, and its empty so all my stuff would be perfect. wouldnt it sound better?[/quote'] Put in some curtains and invest in some sound deadening panels ( http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/studio-classroom-furniture/acoustic-treatments ) or it will sound way to bright (unless you're into surf punk). KSG_Standard
+1 on the curtains or some other material to dampen the sound. I prefer to play in white rooms...

Wally Walrus
Best spot to play with acustics is inside a elevator with metal walls. Or with the soundhole close to a solid wall. Bathroom works great too.
Hector Arcadius
Gary Moore himself prefers ''Empty Rooms'' however... I guess they offer natural reverb (not the bathrooom man!) Ok, now we have officially ****ed up a nice little thread...
saturn
The bathroom has the best sound. Craig Yeah. I remember in guitar class in High School, we would take those cheap nylon string school acoustic guitars into the bathroom and they sounded like a concert hall.
