treddingjr Posted February 16, 2010 Author Share Posted February 16, 2010 I designed it. All of the designs have to be approved by Toyota. Since it is posted, it passed their criteria. As for what Gibson thinks, I can't answer that, nor would I try. My only point in designing the car was to have him race a car covered with a guitar like the one he destroyed after the Nashville Nationwide race in front of the man who designed it and painted it at Gibson. Like John Hiatt said, break a guitar and you go to jail. He won't be going to jail but 100 laps in this car would be poetic justice. To look at it another way, the All-Star race is on national TV, and that's a lot free publicity. (I bought my first Gibson in 1968 so they can't question my brand loyalty.) Dont give a hillbilly that won a race a guitar, and than get upset because he smashed it. He would be much more happy with a shot gun, a jug of whiskey, and a night alone with his sister.
