Would you mind filling out a survey?

One flaw I find' date=' to use the term lightly, is that the survey concentrates too heavily on gun registration.

The federal government has no such registry (though the Left desperately craves it) and most states are

also free of such encumbrances for lawful gun owners.

Once you fill out your Form 4473 for the BATFE and you are cleared through a phone call to the NICS line,

what you do with your gun is your business. There is no record kept by the state or fed.

And buying a used gun from a private party in most states is not regulated in any way.

There are already plenty of laws covering that in every state.

If you knowingly sell a gun to a criminal or are aware of illegal intent by the purchaser, you are criminally liable.

Darn. I guess I did drop the ball on that one...

I will try and edit the survey's questions for the future, but the fact is that I really should've known better...and with all of these responses having already been submitted, I'm not sure what good it will really do.

Regardless of factual errors...

Thank you all for filling out my survey! I got well above the required number of responses for my assignment, and looking at all of your responses I can tell that analyzing this data is going to be a valuable asset to the completion of my assignment.

hey Xdemonknight, I appreciate the opportunity to post my opinions on this subject. Thanks for putting it up. I was a tad lengthy on some of my answers, but I'm one of those Conservatives who feel that the Constitution was written by brilliant men who made themselves very clear on what our rights were. There is too much interpretation and not enough common sense reading of that great document.

I hope it helps.

Hey James,

I appreciate your opinions on the subject and your expression of them. The more honest the better--I'm not sure which ones were yours, and being that this is an anonymous survey, I don't care to know. All of the responses so far have really been great, and I'm also glad to get such a wide range of viewpoints on this issue.

Thank you so much for your responses.

Jon.

P.S. I'm probably ordering my copy of Hostile Intent this weekend. I look forward to reading it. [thumbdn]

Hope you don't mind I filled it out 100 times to help fluff your numbers.

I'm only guessing which way you were "fluffing" but I'm sure I've sold enough guns to law-abiding citizens

to tilt the scales a little further toward .... well .... you know....
