NeoConMan Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 A nice Custom Shop EDS-1275 double-neck about to get modded.... Check this guy out; http://forums.gibson.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=443324post443324 Whatcha think?
duane v Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I would say it's titled appropriately...... I'm ok with it as well[confused]
NeoConMan Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 I am offended by the title of this post It can be changed. What is your recommendation? [thumbup]/
duane v Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 It can be changed. What is your recommendation? [thumbup]/ you can be very accommodating when asked nicely[biggrin] LOL!!!
NeoConMan Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 I'm just a big ol' Teddy Bear. It's when I remove my "Teddy" that things can get exciting....
duane v Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I'm just a big ol' Teddy Bear. It's when I remove my "Teddy" that things can get exciting.... My advice is to keep cool[cool] ......
rocketman Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 As long as it doesn't end up looking like the man's avator when it's done, I say go for it!!
KL Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I don't think I would mod it Neo, but it's your call. Me . . . I'd keep it stock. What is your SG 12 like for intonation? Does it have individual saddles for each string or is it one saddle to each pair of strings like a stock Rickenbacker? I would really like to see a close up photo of the bridge assembly on your SG 12 if you have one please. Going back to the EDS-1275. I've seen Done Felder playing one with TWO input jacks and two leads.
KSG_Standard Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Every time someone needlessly modifies a custom shop Gibby, a kitten cries. I hope that guy leaves that beautiful guitar alone.
Blackie Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 ............maybe some folks should leave the real guitars to those that ..........................
rocketman Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Every time someone needlessly modifies a custom shop Gibby' date=' a kitten cries. I hope that guy leaves that beautiful guitar alone.[/quote'] Hi KSG!
myspace.com/jessenoah Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 my doubleneck is wired just like pages, for better or FOR WORSE the knob between the necks selects which pickup is on, the one on the bottom of the guitar when playing standing up selects the neck, the top knobs control the 12 string neck controls, the bottom knobs control the 6 string controls i hate it, I much rather have all the tonal options for whatever neck is selected, then to have 1 volume and 1 tone for each neck
NeoConMan Posted April 18, 2010 Author Posted April 18, 2010 top knobs control the 12 string neck controls' date=' the bottom knobs control the 6 string controls [/quote']THAT'S what I want. Try swapping from low-volume 12 string stuff on the bridge p/u to a wide open bridge p/u solo on the six neck. Easy, eh? Try it with my control scheme. You would have to; 1. Swap the neck selector from 12 to 6. 2. Crank the volume wide open. 3. Adjust the tone. 4. Hope you have enough time between the guitar parts...
cookieman15061 Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 It's when I remove my "Teddy" that things can get exciting.... First off the mind picture of you in a teddy is really disturbing but the visual of you removing it is too much to handle!!!
NeoConMan Posted April 18, 2010 Author Posted April 18, 2010 Yeah, I don't wear 'em much. Too itchy - all the hair on my back.... [lol]
