Riverside
This is a great example of how technical ability trumps showmanship... No backflips off of halfstacks, but dang!
DeVeeWee
Never seen this video before, but worth every second of the entire 4:26. I especially loved the walking bass part of Joe Pass, actually a bit his personal trademark (round 1:00). Great playing of both! Thanks for sharing Tommy! milod
If there's a guitar player's "heaven," I hope Joe made it. If not, he could even make high heat and humidity liveable in the other place. m
Steven Tari
Was lucky enough to see a Bluegrass festivel when I was Young. Flatt and Scruggs played "Foggy Mountain Breakdown". That got my attention, But when Roy Clark took the stage, Man I never heard or seen fingers move that fast. Didn't matter what he played. Guitar, Banjo, Mandelin and sing. He was great. Also that year I got to see Burl Ives play. That was a really good year.
Daryl M
On a Roy Clark/Hee Haw related note, I just read the new book about Buck Owens. Lots of info on he and his band, expecially guitarist Don Rich.

TommyK
There's a few more Joe Pass/Roy Clark clips out on YouTube too. You might call it Dueling K'zoos. Pass on the Gibson, Clark on the Heritage.
