Izzy
Gone With the Wind half the time, All About Eve the other half. Depends on when I'm asked. Back when films were about acting and dialogue, not special effects...those were the goods.

Which reminds me, I'd like to change my vote to "Treasure of the Sierra Madre".

dROK83
Pulp Fiction (my favorite movie) Goodfellas (my favorite mob movie) Shawshank Redemption (my favorite prison break movie) Full Metal Jacket (my favorite war/military movie) Zombieland (my favorite zombie movie) My favorite most recently released movie would be Inglourious Basterds (also one of my favorite war movies) In my personal opinion Quentin Tarantino makes the best movies, so Pulp Fiction would be the BEST movie i've ever seen. flem snopes
It's gratifying to see the love for Dr. Strangelove... been one of my favorites for years. For your consideration: Das Boot - as qualified submariner I think this is the best submarine movie of all time. Godfather I and II - great storytelling and filmaking. Fast Times at Ridgemont High - can I get an Amen?

Vette77
im obsessed with the old western movies. pretty much anything with clint eastwood, lee van cleef, charles bronson, henry fonda, etc. mainly all those old spaghetti westerns. i also like stanley kubrick films like clockwork orange and full metal jacket. michael mann's heat was also one of my favorite movies, had a fantastic cast, including al pacino who was great in the godfather and serpico. also had robert de niro who was great in casino and taxi driver, and val kilmer who did an amazing job as doc holiday in tombstone. honestly i wouldnt be able to pick a BEST film, so ill throw them into genre categories. action: heat western: unforgiven/once upon a time in the west thriller: clockwork orange/american psycho(a very psychological movie, with a variable ending depending on the viewers interpretations. also christian bale does amazing with such an outrageous character, with some yuppie cultural satire thrown in for good measure) drama: million dollar baby/mystic river(both are very powerful works by clint eastwood) also on the waterfront with marlon brando is another great drama war: full metal jacket crime/cop: dirty harry/serpico/carlitos way documentary: it might get loud
