best colour strap

I'd probably go with black as well.

I'm having the same problem, I can't really find anything that complements my "natural" Sheraton. Black just doesn't seem to look right on a light coloured guitar... if I could find a nice mid brown leather one it might do the trick.

Depends what sound your looking for. Black straps tend to give more bottom end to the tone. Those brown sued ones tend to lessen the sustain but give a great county tone. Gotta be one with skulls on it for that modern pop punk sound though, gives it much more bite.

I got the black one. However, even though it's "distressed," the brown leather showing through the cracks looks fresh and tan. I am going to experiment with a light coating of brown shoe polish and quickly wipe it off. Hopefully this will give it a more "aged" look. Other than it looking like a fresh manufactured distress, the strap is nice. It is padded with a sueded underside.

This was all a joke, right? You just put that up to get a rise, huh? Or, colorblind like me? That's how I buy good clothes. Look for the "sharpest dresser" in the men's department, tell him I'm colorblind, what the budget it, and (most important) what look I'm trying to get. People are always amazed that I can dress so well, and can't tell what color my socks are.

It took me over a year to finally find a strap that I liked and the dark brown one is what I settled on. Great strap for a decent price. Actually when I bought mine from Sweetwater I think I paid $19 of $20 for it.

No No No a brown strap wont give you a country sound unless it has the state of Texas on it and tassels hanging off the strap. that will give you the best country tone. As for a rock sound skulls will work but don't forget the spikes. I find the black leather straps with 1 inch spikes tends to have that harder solo tone that the rockers like so much. [-X/
