Riviera P93 and a Case to match

After deciding that my P93 was a keeper I set out to find a suitable case for it. I have an Epi case for my Dot and it's just fine, but I read about some QC issues with the latest batch and decided to go with the Gator 335 case. It was on backorder for nearly a month from MF, but finally came yesterday. It's very nice and I think it goes quite well with the color scheme of the P93. Here are a couple pics...

Except for the handle, and missing combination lock, it looks like the old Gibson case.

Good score! How are the latches? I was interested in that case, too...but several

reviews said the latches were prone to slipping, etc. Might be hard to tell, though,

being brand new? I don't know if their criticism was of the new latches or after they'd

been used, for some time?

I can't see the pics because graphics are blocked at work, but I'll check it out when I get home shortly.

Does your Dot fit in the case as well. I was thinking about getting one of these for my Sherry, but I didn't think they would fit because of the extra long headstock on the Epis.

You need to upload them to photobucket.com or another site like that. It is free. Then copy the link and paste it in between these: [/img]

Just checked them out at MF ~ SWEET!!! At the price Epi' is looking for, why not go the extra twenty bucks, and get something really nice. I've got a Riv' and a DOT, plus a Casino with one case to go around. Their on stands in my studio, but if I had to take them out, I'd go Gator!

Thanks for the heads up!

The latches are nice and tight. Not to say that they couldn't loosen in the future, but from the design, it doesn't look like it should be an issue. It appears to be solidly built to me. I guess time will tell.

GOOD! Glad to hear that!! I've been eyeing their SG case, for my MIJ '61! So, your

testimonial has helped! Thanks!
