John1281734170
I could be ordering a Cherry Casino soon, however I've never actually seen on in person. GC and Sam Ash here in town don't have one to look at. If you have one, can you describe the cherry finish a little for me? Is it a darker red, a lighter red? Does any wood grain show through it? Thanks
Swoop
Cherry is a gorgeous colour! I have a G400 SG in Cherry gloss, and I love it. You can click the link in my sig to se a picture, but that really doesn't do it justice, and doesn't look much like it. It's hard to describe, it's quite a deep red, but not like a burgundy or anything. It really depends on the lighting. In some lighting it looks very much like a cherry, especially the neck. In some lighting, it's quite deep and crimsony. Mine certainly shows some wood grain. In any case, I say go ahead and order that cherry guitar, you won't be disappointed. I love the look of a cherry hollow/semi hollow, and I'm sure your Casino will be no exception.
midiman56
Here you go ... Watch this video and prepare to drool (over the guitar and the girl singer)! I am gassing BIG time for both the cherry and the burst Casino, myself! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Hb91NjV3iE Jim
brianh
I've never been a big fan of cherry/red guitars...until I got my P93 last week: http://forums.epiphone.com/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=10742 I've been converted - they are gorgeous!
Gordy01
I used to own a cherry colored Casino copy. There was a cherry Epi Casino hanging in Long & McQuaade in Edmonton. Wanted it really, really bad. It is an absolutely gorgeous color. My next guitar other than my project guitar, will be cherry color.
jerome_travis
mine's cherry. but the grain varies in the models. I can hardly see any grain in mine, unless in some other lighting
DJB08
I'm plenty happy with my vintage burst dot. but, i saw a cherry one in GC the other week and just wanted to grab it and run out! It looked great and just kinda begs to be hooked up. They are of course the same guitar in different finishes but i think you get what i mean. would love something in cherry! Big Arm
I think my cherry casino is very beautiiful, but I really love my vintage sunburst ES-345 also!

Lord Summerisle
If only Epiphone still made an ebony one... I have a thing for black guitars. An ebony Casino would fit into my small collection quite nicely...
unreal77
I thought i had something for ebony guitars too, but my tele is candy apple, my rivieras are between wine and red, my jazzmaster is sunburst but burgundy is calling for a refinish and i definitely want my sg to be cherry... But the hagstrom and that casino look awesome...
Anthony_JB
I went through the same thing you went through John, but trust me once you see it in person it's a sight! My Casino is Cherry and I must say it's a beautiful looking guitar. I'm not sure if all Cherry finishes come with the wood grain showing; mine does but I love it. It definitely adds to overall aesthetics that these guitars are known for. Here's a pic so you can see what I mean:

GAS Panic!
This looks like a good excuse to show off some more pictures of my Cherry Dot: The Cherry really is a gorgeous finish in person. Then there is flame top Cherry, which I thought looked absolutely stunning on a Deluxe Dot when I saw one: And I'm not normally a massive fan of black guitars, but that Ebony Casino above does look nice.
