For someone who's trying to decide which of those first three Casinos you have listed, this is a valuable resource. In fact I was just trying to find some of this information earlier this morning.

A few things you may want to add to an updated chart in the future: As per Epiphone's press release, I believe that the JL Inspired model also has the Switchcraft 3-way switch and Gibson USA electronics.

I wish it had the 2-screw truss rod cover, but beggars can't be choosers. I'm still trying to decide if the Inspired version is the one form me anyway. The standard models in sunburst look really nice these days.

Thanks, can you send me a link to the Epi press release? I'll update the sheet when enough new info and corrections come in.

PS: From the looks of things so far, the JL Inspired makes a lot of sense. For the extra $500 difference with the Elitist, you could buy another decent guitar or tube amp, new.

I can't justify $500 extra for an elitist, when the 'inspired by' has similar USA specs. then again... I'd mod it into my own axe with my own upgrades ... it seems a casino standard is in my future. natural finish, (lennon-esque) graph tech saddles/nut, mini bucker in the bridge ..... I was thinking screwin' one to a dogear p90 baseplate with a tooled plastic dogear cover over it. maybe? oh well i'll figure something out.

"Inspired by JL" will (most likely) be my next "Epiphone" purchase...provided they are as nice, and well made, as they're touted to be?

That, and the "mini-humbucker" version of the Wishire...in worn/faded cherry (the lighter version). But, who knows? They keep coming

up with all these fun "toys" for us, and (from a financial point), I don't need that/those temptation(s), you know?! LOL!

You might want to include where they are made on your chart.

Std. & the new JL Inspired are Korean made

Elitist - Japan/ final assy in US

same for the Lennon's I believe.

Yamagamma

Actually, I believe it's more along these lines:

Standard - China

JL Inspired - China

Elitist - Japan

Lennon - USA

And if I'm not mistaken all guitars are set up and inspected in the USA.

Yeah I'm always looking - unfortunately' date=' the Orlando Craigslist is slim pickins. I watch ebay all the time as well....a couple of Used Elitist in VSB went for under a grand last week. [/quote']

Check out the Nashville CL. Usually over 100 new listings EVERY DAY, and most people are willing to ship out of state.

You are quite right except for the Lennon 65/Revolution models which are also made in Japan by Terada, and then shipped to the U.S. to have the h/ware fitted and final set up/inspection. That is why Epiphone put an "Assembled in the U.S.A." sticker on the back of their necks instead of a "Made in the U.S.A". one.

So for the Lennon 65/Revolution models I should change Country of Origin from USA to Japan, and add an "Assembled In" Row, right? Don't wanna be misleading anyone...

Does anyone know the difference in the headstock angle of all the Casinos?

What difference is there between the 17 degree and 14 degree angles?

thanks

The Revolution, and '65 have 17 degree headstock angles. The Elitist, Korean and Chinese Casinos have 14. I THINK (but do not know for sure) that the IB Casinos also have 14. Someone will have to confirm that.

A greater head stock angle puts more downward string pressure against the nut, so the strings terminate better. Less vibration bleeds off from the nut to the tuners, which impacts the tone.

That would be a useful spec to add to your excellent chart, brianh, once we know the IB's angle, if you haven't updated it already.
