BillyGibson
Part of my purchase price of $625 included a professional setup by J. Gravity Strings off Broadway in Downtown St. Louis. The action and tone on this guitar is simply incredible since the setup. I do believe this is now my most prized guitar next to my Turqoise EPI Casino with custom pin stripes. Definitely post pictures. I'm in St. Louis too and was on the search for a Sheraton, but found mine in CT, thanks to another member Bobouz. Never thought about checking Gravity. I'm extrememly happy with mine though. Congratulations on your find. White ones seem to be of big interest now with the Royale line up hitting the streets. japhy
Hi! I just purchased a E by G Sheraton on Ebay with serial number 6066714, Built in June 1986, number 6714, to my knowledge. It has the headstock with the capital "E" in Epiphone by Gibson frather than the epsilon character. I look forward to posting some pics once received and really appreciate this thread as it has helped me to understand what this guitar is (I knew I wanted a "vintage" Sheraton, but there are a lot to be had!). Thank you to all!
TexasJay
I picked up a beautiful 1988 Sheraton in Huntsville, TX last week after looking for some time. It's dark vintage sunburst, in great condition for a 23 year old guitar. The hardware has just the right patina so it doesn't look brand new. Came with an original Gibson hardshell case with hot pink lining. I'll put up more pics of my new baby...........
cadmancan
I was at a vintage guiatr shop in Seattle and they did some work on my alpine white epi (see pg 13 at bottom) of this forum. According to epi/gibson book, they never made alpine White Sheratons in 88. I assumed by the serial, which is near yours anf the folks that sold it to me that it was an 88 but it appears that may not be so. Getting definitive info has been very hard. Ours are very close except color. The font on the headstock is the same as well as the E on the pickguard. Havent seen ANY others like it and I havent seen a single whiote epi like mine. Lots of ones similar. I have a couple of shops diggine up more info.
MM Guitars
Your white Epi looks the same as the one I posted on page 13. Their is only a link to view the guitar so you may not have looked it over.

Doc_46
I thought there were quite a few owners of these Samick built Epiphone Sheratons with the headstock on this site. I was wrong. We have 6,677 registered forum members and have had 5,389 visits to this thread. Astounding........still only have 9 proven owners of "Epiphone by Gibson" Sheratons on this forum. 1986 E-by-G's NaturalScience2112 (E-by-G Sheraton owners club # 2 (tobacco, sn:6066698)) Musikron (E-by-G Sheraton owners club # 1 (natural, sn:6094580)) 1987 E-by-G's JoeSamick (E-by-G Sheraton owners club # 3 (tobacco, sn:70105418)) StevieD (E-by-G Sheraton owners club # 8 (tobacco, sn:71107775)) Albannach (E-by-G Sheraton owners club # 6 (tobacco, sn:71108446)) 1988 E-by-G's Toredown (E-by-G Sheraton owners club # 5 (tobacco, sn:80202658)) hilleri(2) (E-by-G Sheraton owners club # 9 (natural, sn:880603292) slawek (E-by-G Sheraton owners club # 4 (tobacco, sn:880802010)) missing serial therefore 1986 to 1988 E-by-G's hilleri (E-by-G Sheraton owners club # 7 (natural (yellowed), sn:XXXXXXXX)...probably 1988 who own "Epiphone by Gibson" Sheratons (samick build 1986-1988) with the Headstock Please if anyone else knows of anyone else who owns one, or sees one for sale, drop me a line. to be included in this list we need photographs of your guitar especially the headstock back and front Hi Folks, I'm a newbie and for some unknown reason I can't see any of the photos you guys have posted. Anyway I'm the owner of a "Natural" (Epiphone by Gibson on headstock)Sheraton. Serial# 880509573. I've no Idea when I bought it probably around 1992 or so. Is this significant in any way? I have never passed much remarks of the serial etc untill someone expressed an interest in buying it. I'll post some pictures later. Regards, Doc. Where are you located, prices vary region to region globally, so it will help someone give you a more accurate idea of price. cooper87
Hi, I am a happy owner of a vintage sunburst model of the Epiphone by Gibson Sheraton. The serial number is (80111730). I have owned it since 2004 and its in good condition with a little bit of fret ware. I brought it for £300 from a second hand guitar shop in my home city of Norwich, England. I have since seen another one of these guitars for sale about 2 years ago and it was up for sale for £750 on ebay but pictures were of poor quality. i will get some pictures up soon. Joe. cooper87
hi all again sorry but my dad aint from Sweden. (sorry to disappoint you on that one). does anyone have any idea of what the guitars are worth? I might have to let my epi go due to a struggling year with the dollarpounds. I love the guitar but my others mean more to me unless anyone wants to buy a 1950's hofner president jazz acoustic? jiaix
So ... what about this one? It's definitely old, the serial doesn't come up in the Dater Project web, the neck is made like from 9 pieces, the stopbar and the PU's are unstamped, there is no sticker inside and the toggle switch has some numbers and hieroglyphs on. Headstock back Headstock front Overall Inlay

RaSTuS
I have one of these Sheratons... no serial # I can find, no stickers, nothing inside the guitar.... help? The in body labels can often fall off due to the glue drying out, have you given it a good shake, it could be hiding in the lower bout somewhere. Some pics would sure help the guys get an idea of your guitar, info on how to post pics is in the DIY thread pinned to the top of the Epi Lounge. Hecube
I bought mine brand new back in 1987. It was the first electric guitar I ever bought. It's been modded to hell and back but there won't be much further mods done to it though because I feel it's become perfect for what it is and what it needed to be. Mods were: I hated the original pickguard's form and I changed it for a man's pickguard: a beautiful three-ply cream Les Paul pickguard, attached with an upscale archtop pickguard bracket the switch tip was changed from black to amber the pot knobs were changed from amber to gold (the old knobs will have new duties on my '59 Melody Maker) Roller bridge Bone nut Planet Waves auto-trim tuners Pickups changed for WCR Fillmore humbuckers Pickup rings changed to Seymour Duncan triple-shots for added tonal variety all wiring redone Epiphone Ez-bender b-bender attached to stop-piece The only thing missing is a custom rosewood truss-rod cover... Here's an outside shot: This guitar has its very own strap all for itself, a beautiful brown "Jimmy Page" strap specially adjusted for the guitar and me:
