sledge57
Happy New Guitar Trade Day! If you told me before Wednesday I'd own a Les Paul, I would have said you're nutz. I like LP but never suffered any GAS because of them, until I saw this one. It came to visit today and I traded my G&L ASAT Special (think Tele..) Happy now Sjael? The wife isn't happy that I didn't thin the herd but at least I didn't spend any money on it..... (yet) Anyway here's the pics: (the serial # isn't missing I P-Shopped it out)

sledge57
Congratulations Sledge! She's a beaut! How does she sound? Thanks, got some issues, pots are scratchy, input jack is flaky but it plays great (best I can tell anyway) and I love the sounds I've gotten so far. I imagine I will probably upgrade some stuff on it, pots, jack etc... Not sure if I'll swap the pups yet, not even sure exactly what they are. I believe they are original but I don't know enough about LP's yet to be sure.
midiman56
Beautiful, Sledge! Have fun getting her together and enjoy those rich, thick Les Paul tones! By the way, have you been following the Telecaster thread over in the Lounge? Gas-inducing, isn't it? (snicker) Jim

deflepfan
I was afraid you were going to say you traded the Tiger Cat for it. Thrill it was 'just' a tele-wannabe! Absolutely beautiful quilting on that top! And the 'burst isn't bad either. Have fun with the mods! Sheila

animalfarm
Thanks' date=' got some issues, pots are scratchy, input jack is flaky but it plays great (best I can tell anyway) and I love the sounds I've gotten so far. I imagine I will probably upgrade some stuff on it, pots, jack etc... Not sure if I'll swap the pups yet,[b'] not even sure exactly what they are. I believe they are original [/b] but I don't know enough about LP's yet to be sure. Congrats on snagging what is a fast-playing guitar (due to slim neck). Very Pretty (as expected)! I bought mine a couple of years ago, still grab it more often than not (I LIKE the slim neck!). A discontinued Model, and I did eventually upgrade to Gibson pups and tuners (personal choice), but DID keep detailed notes regarding what came STOCK with it. Strangely enough, the STOCK pups in the Classic were the exact same pups that came STOCK in my Epi "Worn Brown" Studio. In the Studio, the pups produced noticeable "bottom end", but in the Classic they had more noticeable Mids and High end tone. Body Wood? The tone from the stock Classic pups is very acceptable. Stock Pups in Classic (based on stickers on back of pickups): Neck - HB6N/LPCLSNECK: 8.12K Bridge - HOTHB8B/LPCLSBRIDGE: 13.14K PRE-UPGRADE PIC: POST-UPGRADE:
