btoth76
Hello all! My 50's Tribute Studio came with a truss rod nut filed like above as well. But since it is fully functional, I do not bother about it. Not a nice thing, for sure.
badbluesplayer
I've seen that problem before and I don't understand how that happens. If the nut works, save it. You can replace it fairly easily.
jazzvibe
Sure it's a bad thing, for a "Name" like Gibson....
BigKahune
. If you are the original owner and purchased it new, Gibson should fix fix or replace the guitar under warranty. Sadly, I notice that the Gibson C/S folks on the forum are staying away from this one.
jazzvibe
it seems that it's only a Italians Gibson guitars defect (!?)
ChanMan
So don't buy them. Gibson will get the message when they send defective guitars overseas and no one buys them.

gijs
But what is bad? I do not have experience, but I AM interested.
BigKahune
. Someone filed the truss rod nut, making adjustments practically impossible without replacing the nut. Either Gibson, the seller, or a previous owner filed/sanded it down. BTW - Good job getting it off JazzG7.
