EpiphoneFan1989 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 My link Found it on the Thomann online store. Describtion sounds interesting. I like Sitars and now I think about to buy this nice pedal next year. Has anyone experience with this device? Here´s a video:
Big Bill Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I got myself one. I LOVE IT. There is so much you can do with that machine.

Dub-T-123 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 It sounds really horrible to me as far as "sitar emulation", but you could probably tweak it to make some sweet crazy noises. Sticking something under the bridge of your guitar so it just slightly touches the strings seems to be a much better simulation of a sitar and it's free.

Thundergod Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Man that pedal sounds fantastic. Plenty of stuff you can do with it. On a side note, gotta love that Mike Matthews dude, every time I see a video of him presenting any of the products I LOL.
krock Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 personally i dont think it sounds very authentic

Big Bill Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 personally i dont think it sounds very authentic You are right, it's kind of like getting a keyboard to sound like a guitar, it doesn't quite cut it. However, you can do a lot with what it produces. Since the Ravish is a bit expensive, I didn't tell my wife that I bought it. When I started playing it, she stormed in the room to chew me out for buying a sitar.
EpiphoneFan1989 Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 I hope the price will fall a little until january or february.
Dub-T-123 Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 I can't be the only one who thinks it sounds exactly like one of those disgusting digital harmony effects from the 80s right? I like the drone/Freeze part of it and thought that was pretty clever to incorporate into the pedal, but the harmony/octave thing is absolutely horrible. IMO anyways..
dem00n Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Not my cup of juice. But i can see why people dig it. Well...back to the timeline!
Shnate McDuanus Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Not my mug of beer, but I can also see why one could find it useful. It would've been a godsend to Roger McGuinn back in the 60s. Also, I just wanted to use the expression "not my mug of beer," because my wallet's empty and I really want beer.

Even though it doesnt have the most authentic tone, it is workable for certain things and would be great fun just to mess around with. Hope she didnt injure you too badly
EpiphoneFan1989 Posted November 19, 2011 Author Posted November 19, 2011 It should not sound 100% authentic. But it will be a nice (but expensive...) gadget to create new sounds.
fl00dsm0k3 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 wonder how within without you would sound on it
