Tman
I am not a great Paul McCartney fan (He says owning a McCartney reissue Texan!), but this song about John Lennon makes me well up every time. Steve Me too

EuroAussie
This one gives me a tear when I think of the inevitable ... btw, you might think Im mad but I love this track and this band. One of the very few bands of any genre that stayed true to its uncompromising style in over 25 years of playing and recording. When I need to let off some steam these boys come on ... AnneS
I first heard this in 1976 (I think?) when Chuck Mitchell performed at a coffee house on campus--then and now, it tugs at me. Here's a lovely version by the late Liam Clancy, but I haven't cared much for the versions done by Steve Goodman, JJ Walker or Tom Russell. This one, and Michael Smith's originals, are my faves: "Let us go to the banks of the ocean.." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBIBGOTSI94
