Ace Frehley....

Well, he's not Madonna, or even Gene Simmons or Paul Stanley. He's only worth around 30 million (as far as I know). KISS' manager Doc McGhee is worth more than Ace and Peter Criss combined for cryin' out loud.

It has more to do with Ace's management and the industry as a whole than the man himself. I'm sure this was NOT his idea. No "rock star" makes decisions like this unless they're money-smart (like Mr. Simmons and Zakk Wylde, for example); they are pretty careless with money, and they don't care about their stocks. From what I know about Ace, I wouldn't be surprised if he stores his money in his mattress or inside a safe in his home. I also think the same thing about Keith Richards, if that makes any sense (which I'm sure it doesn't...).

But, like I have said, if he DOES need the money, he should earn it the right way by hittin' the road! Hard work pays off!

ONLY 30 million? That's a lot by any standard, even for a Rpck celeberty.

If he's got 30 mil, then you know the sig thing isn't needed for cash purposes, it would be a drop in the bucket.

Most of that is the money he made off of the KISS reunion tours as well as the money he makes touring, the Anomaly CD, his book, album royalties and his paychecks he gets every time Tommy Thayer walks onstage in his makeup (he blew all of his millions he made in the 70s). He doesn't do any outside business ventures. But I was implying that it is somewhat small compared to Gene's 300 million net worth.

They say prices (keep in mind, this for autographing GUITARS, not just regular autographs) are high because of the eBay issue, but who knows, maybe Ace really is the *** who is so lazy he'll take the easy way out to get money even if it's wrong the KISS & Tell book made him out to be.

There's a really funny rumour circulating around the net' that the dirt dished out in Peter Criss's book made him relaspe. It started with a (real) pic of he and Vinnie Paul playing blackjack at some casino. It's a bad rumour, but it's really ******* funny....

Ace Frehley "Personal Guitar Signings"

He's offering personal guitar signings in a "private" setting for $500 (per guitar).

I'm the biggest Ace fan (DUH!) but I'm also straight-up and honest. Great idea, but for 500 bucks (and per guitar!)? If that ain't taking advantage of the Rock Soldiers, I don't know what is! Dime (RIP) would have done this for free. This should be $100 bucks at the most. Not even that. $50 is fine. I understand that he (and his management team) has to make money, but if he wants the Benjamins rolling in, he better get his *** back out on the road. Sucks, because some fan will pay $500 for Ace's shortcomings (namely his lack of ever showing up on time). Now, if he knocked off one zero I'd go for it! But seeing as how tickets to his shows only cost around $30-$50, 500 big ones for a goofy guitar player to sign my guitar in my own home and show up a half-hour late to do it is beyond me. Ace, you better make your flights this time! Don't continue to vindicate Gordon G.G. Gebert (co-author of the KISS & Tell books and some other rock books)! Now, I'm gonna go eat my donut and listen to Badlands. Ack!

Massive big Ace fan here. If I was in Las Vegas I would do it without question. I'll have to do the lottery again. You get to meet him, get photo taken, and get guitar signed. If I had any money I would fly there and get it done but aint gonna happen, damn broke again hehe.

I love Ace but for $500 it should include a half hour jam session with him. Now that would be the ultimate Ace Frehley fan experience.

Well, it does raise the question of how much studio time for him would cost.

And I think you might be closer to that number at 500 bones than you are for what a signature would cost on the market.

That's what I said on Facebook. KISS's VIP packages are $1000. Too expensive IMHO. But, you still get more bang for the buck in that you get to meet all 4 guys (albeit the two first members of the world's biggest KISS tribute band), a ticket in the first 10 rows, a pick, T-shirt, etc, and you get to watch them do an acoustic set. Ace's deal is really just a glorified signing appearance.

Yeah, $500 is a decent price for a jam session. You get to play the song of your choice (or just a basic blues jam---which is what I would pick) with him, and he brings his band. Actually, that's a good idea. He should do that. It would be a great marketing ploy for his shows. Invite fans to soundcheck or something (assuming Ace will show up).

The reason he's in Vegas is cause' he's doing Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp this weekend (along with Alice Cooper, Jordan Rudess, and Mike Portnoy).

Yikes.

"Has KISS guitarist Ace Frehley hit "Rock Bottom?" Because it turns out he's got more than "Nothin' To Lose", having reportedly failed to pay the mortgage on his Westchester home for the past two years. And now, his bank is filing for foreclosure—which means he could probably use some advice from The Elder about now.

The U.S. Bank National Association says the Artist Formerly Known as Space Ace owes $703,581.48, and that doesn't include interest and late fees. Frehley borrowed the money in 2006 when he purchased his 2,441-square-foot house in Yorktown, up in Northern Westchester—but according to the foreclosure filing he stopped paying the mortgage back in March 2011. The Bronx-born Frehley apparently also hasn't paid taxes on the property for the past two years.

While Frehley doesn't appear to live at the property, one of his production companies lists it as a business address, so they'll need a new place to "Rock and Roll All Nite," since his bank has asked the court to order a sale of the home. On the bright side, "Detroit Rock City"'s pretty affordable these days...okay, we'll stop."

I would normally suspect this as a rumor (there are a lot of those...every week someone says he died in a car crash! Damn, don't these people have lives?), but this is actually believable. He's notorious for not paying his taxes (even when he was loaded with money in the late-70s he wasn't paying his taxes). Then I again, I know he's been living out in San Diego (he announced that onstage when I saw him), so that might explain it. Unfortunately, this stuff really shouldn't be in the public eye (not like this is mainstream media). It's his personal business.

Eh, nothing changes.

And, to go off the topic, does AXE have the answer to everything around here or what!

I hear Gene is charging $1500 for people to speak to him (or something like that) down in Australia.....Not only is the price bad, hearing him take credit for things he didn't do, talk about himself, and all that **** isn't appealing....

I think it's only 500 bucks to tell a judge to go **** himself.

Not that I recommend either one.
