I did use a flatwound 013 Jazz-guitar set with a wound G-string on an Ibanez AS200 ('81 model ES345 copy) once. Felt odd, to say the least. Half the fun with a Les Paul and other similar guitars is (IMO) the flat radius, big frets and wide fretboard which makes it a dream to bend on. Forget that with those strings. I don't remember much about the bronze age, but I believe that since it's non-ferrous I don't think bronze will work on you electric guitar. I can't find it anymore, but if anyone has spare time to surf through Youtube, please upload it. Regarding your question, I favor Gibson Humbucker Strings.
