  1. What is the typical Gibson Garbage? Just asking. I wanted one when I was an electric guy. I owned a '57 ES-225TD. It would not stay in tune. Light as a feather though due to it being a full hollow. My BB King had a Vartione. Never used it. Your not missing much by not having it.
  2. Hasn't Gibson made an ES-3?? with P-90's. So what is all the fuss about. Plus they are gonna be made in Nashville, by the same guys who make 335's. Isn't it really now just gonna be a Gibson with Epi on the headstock? I think the only thing I can remember that is that is so different on Casino's is the neck is down a bit more so you loose some upper fret access. That's a plus. Not sure if Casino's are full hollows or not?
  3. Is it a trick of the light or is there a big scratch or something from the switch washer to the rhythm pickup?
  4. If its at a great price and you want it just make sure they will take it back if you don't gel with it. I would take a 335 over a LP any day of the week. Probably an SG too.
  5. No doubt back when he had all his gear listed in his signature it was a mile long.
  6. Watched a few music doc's the last 2 days . The first one was Miles Davis - The Birth Of The Cool. Really good. The second was ZZ Top - That Little Ol' Band From Texas. It was pretty good. I could have done without the silly cartoons they put in there. I still need to watch the one on Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Linda Ronstadt and David Crosby. Tonight it ain't right I got to have me a week I'll be back for you, Jack And I'll let the machine speak Both were on Netflix.
  7. CFM for me. But if you get one you could write Yesterday part 2 on it.
  8. I already set up a second date. He's taking me to Ihop first. I might even let him touch me under the sweater. On the first date he said most players like LP's in tasteful bursts with no weight relief. He said he might look into re-programming the CNC machine to accommodate the belly cut on the Modern's. If I show a little leg on the third date I'll bet it will seal the deal.
  9. He suggested we go to a cheap motel. I told him I'm a high class guitar player and don't kiss on the first date.
  10. Who did you suggest it to Mark at Gibson? He's Director Of Brand Experience.
  11. Bonjour, Read this. Gibson is all over the place with serial numbers. https://www.gibson.com/Support/Serial-Number-Search
  12. If you do find out who first owned it then what? What do you want to ask them or know? It's yours now play it. I've owned plenty of used guitars and don't need to know anything about the guy or girl who owned it before me. Other that what price to you want for it.
  13. I thought it was 14. I think the truss rod tool is from China and guys have been smelling them. Go get quarantined now.
  14. Sweet inlays and love that headstock emblem.
  15. There even giving China the serial numbers so they can start to make Chiphones. Wait aren't some Epi's made there anyway?
  16. Come on go play that one J-45 and one D-28 they got. It hasn't that much time to get abused yet.
  17. Do you have a warehouse that you store all your gear in?
  18. Nice. Now it's a NGD. If those are your strings rock em.
  19. Thanks. It doesn't suck. It's a keeper. Loved the 18 and 28 and 35, sold and traded them to fund the 41, and would own any of those again, but this is next level.
  20. Where did you send it? Bozeman and Nashville are all that is left as far as I know.
  21. Any connoisseur of sniffing knows you need to sniff the stagnant goodness of what is behind the control cavity cover. Them pots be aromatic.
