  1. Now Gibson is gonna reissue them and jack up the price 3k, and you'll get a gig bag.
  2. Blurry is the new clear. It's that Rolling Stones Between The Buttons with Vaseline on the lens trick.
  3. I could look at those fake LP's all day long. What junk. Just don't cry for me.
  4. I dumped last one after the infamous Mark video. Virginia is humid but not as humid as Hawaii. Lived there for a year and a half. Had fun and enjoyed being called a Haole. Oh well at least milk isn't $5 a gallon where I live.
  5. Where are they from? I am sure there is a reason they are not at hit over here. We got top shelf makers over here in the US like Gibson, Fender, Martin, and then uber boutique stuff. I would even part together a Warmoth before getting something form overseas I've never heard of.
  6. I know the area a little, our subdivision is by the Post Office and Church on 17.
  7. Cool. Me and my wife have a house we inherited (which is paid off) in Little River and when we sell the house in VA we are moving down there permanently.
  8. I think the black looks bad @ss, the massive double pickguard is overkill, and the star inlay are tight. I'm jonesing for a maple guitar. Owed a Guild JF-30 and did nothing for me. Would love a Dove or the smaller J-180 with out 2 football feilds worth of pickguard.
  9. I played one in the Myrtle Beach, GC. They are at a great price for an American made guitar. Congrats. It's nice to see Gibson just don't have guitars at nothing but $2k+. And 'Merican.
  10. Pete is one of the greatest chord bashers ever.
  11. I owned a Guild maple bodied guitar. It was nice but I rarely played it and I sold it
  12. I have the D'addario gel pack things in my cases. No mess. When they get hard get new ones. The one in my case at my other house has been in there for a few months (as we are not there but once a month or so) and it takes the hassle of changing water or worrying about overhydrating.
  13. I understand. At one point I owned 13 guitars and said to myself, there is no point in having guitars I don't play, so I started dumping them. But that is just me. I finally got down to a super-mega nice guitar, a 12er, one that I will take anywhere, and one at my other house that I leave there so I don't have to ever hump one there. One day in the near future when we move to the other house full time all my guitars will stay there. I would love to have every guitar on the planet I want, but I'm not Joe Bonamassa who has the funds to guy 1960 vintage Les Paul's ect.
  14. I have only played one J-200 in Gruhn's for a minute or two, but for you guys that have them, does that much pickguard affect the way the top vibrates?
  15. I though all guitars are meant to be played. Mine are in cases right now with hydration going on do to it being winter and the heat is on in the house and the humidity is lower. But when I get home, just like in the Warriors movie, they come out to play ay.
  16. I know they ripped the vocals off Fly From Here and called it Fly From Here Return Trip and Trevor sang (I think he was the producer too), and is kind of a Drama reunion, but it was just the same bad album with a different but Yes alumni singer. After Drama I checked out. Tormato had a few good songs like Silent Wings Of Freedom, Future Times/Rejoice, and Don't Kill The Whale. Onward and Madrigal are just awful. UFO and Circus Of Heaven are okay. Going For The One back to The Yes Album was top shelf. Oceans did not need to be 4 songs each on a side. To much filler. There is good stuff there, but like I said digesting 4 - 20 minute songs is tough. Great album cover.
  17. I would have left it there. That is terrible.
  18. I saw Paul a few years back where the UVA Cavaliers play basketball in Charlottesville, VA. I saw The Dead 13 times and Jerry solo once at the Warfield. Mostly in the Bay Area. Once in Irvine, once in Monterey, once in Sacto, and once in Chicago when I was a squid. The rest were Oakland or SF.
  19. I have all their stuff either on album, cd or digital. I have listened to Presto, Counterparts, Test For Echo, Vapor Trails and Clockwork Angels maybe 3 times total. Snakes And Arrows was not to bad. Signals and then Grace was when I know they were gonna start putting out garbage. And then Power Widows came. Big Money goes around the world. Really Neil that was the best you got. And then Hold Your Fire. I loath and they play it every time - Time Stand Still. That song is cheese d!ck it makes me sick. I used to go concerts at every venue in The Bay Area. Saw so many good shows there. Zappa, The Stones, The Who, The Dead, Rush, the list goes on and on.
  20. I saw The Moody Blues, The Grateful Dead (not that sad schtick they have been tooling around the past few years, with Jerry), believe it or not Madonna, Billy Idol, The Doobie Bros, and many others I can't remember right now at Shoreline. The keyboard era makes me vomit. Um Geddy your a bass player.
  21. Crazy Glue that sucker down. No don't do that. Take it to a pro and get it sorted.
  22. I walked past the Iridium and drove past the Dakota. I know JL lived there, but its just an apartment building. Not to interesting.
  23. I play mine. Polish yes,, and I use bore oil on the fretboards, but they get played cause there instruments that are made to make sounds. The sounds that come out of mine are not like Page's or Howe's or Thompson's , but sound comes out.
