  1. Yeah let us know how they are. I want to get a set for one of my acoustics. If they are all that and a bag of chips I may plunk down the cash and try one out. But I can get 4 sets of Martin's for that price.
  2. ...Pete Townshend to take it out of its misery.
  3. Shipping is worth more than the guitar.
  4. Your pulling my leg right. Dickin Cider. Man the inappropriate jokes one can make.
  5. I love a 175 and 335. But don't play electrics anymore. And even if I did there to expensive. I had a BB King and at 2500 when I got it used I thought I should have had my head examined. They reissued them last year for 5k. ES-335 Studio's are now 2k and the nicer ones are 3k. Your out of your mind Gibson.
  6. Plunked on the 12 string a bit. Listened to The White Album and didn't skip over Rev 9 like I usually do. Bought a 180 gram copy of Pink Floyd The Wall. Made dinner and watched 20 mins of deserving people receive awards. Fell asleep to The Grateful Dead.
  7. What if you buy your guitar in the USA and bring it to Canada? I love Canada. Went on my honeymoon to Vancouver and have been back several times. Love Toronto too. Went to Montreal once. I really want to go to Quebec, but not in the winter. Ottawa too and Calgary and Edmonton. This may sound crazy but the best calamari I ever had was in Vancouver and the best dumpling were in Chinatown in Toronto. My wife loves ciders and they are everywhere in bars up there.
  8. Nice. Acoustics need to stay acoustic. I understand if you are a gigging musician and need it.
  9. I'm listening to The White Album right now. George is moaning during While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
  10. It is hard to see what the letters are, what are they? Steve Howe would certainly approve of that. Me too.
  11. It made the Strat sound awful. It's just basically a metal nut. I think the Jeff Beck Strats have them. I could see the advantage on a guitar that whammy's like a Strat, and you have a whammy on yours as well. I know it is to reduce string breakage and friction when dive bombing. I actually took the neck off a sold it and got a Warmoth one, cause they are cheaper and I think higher quality without the Fender sticker on it.
  12. If you have the guitar in hand, see if the 2 volume knobs lift up, if so then you would.
  13. No rule says you can't. You just gotta find one that fits. I had a roller nut on my Am Dlx Strat. I hated it. Try it and you make love it or hate it. Someone has to make one.
  14. Those are a nice pair of single coil goodness. Almost makes me wish I didn't swear off electrics (except my bass). My whammy bar was hardly ever on the Strats I've owned. I tried but I was never Steve Vai.
  15. I guess Gibson believes and stands by their product. Only if its in the USA though. I guess once it crosses a boarder the guitar goes through some strange twilight zone transformation? Sad
  16. Sgt. Pepper

    Tonyp

Answer if its real probably- alot. 5k. Final answer.
  17. So If someone buys a Gibson in Windsor, Canada, just 3 miles or 4 of your kilometers from Detroit, MI, the warranty goes from lifetime to one year. That is shady.
  18. I swapped pups in all my electrics when I played them. Good deal.
  19. Cant see the serial either. If it is a 2010 here is what I found on CME. Built with smoldering good looks and Gibson's most durable woods, the new Les Paul Studio Silverburst will withstand the demanding lifestyle of any performing guitarist. Constructed of a mahogany body and neck, maple top and baked maple fingerboard, the new Les Paul Studio Silverburst is available only at Guitar Center and comes in the highly popular Silverburst finish. This guitar is equipped with 490R and 498T pickups for that vintage humbucking sound you demand. Exquisite details, like trapezoid fingerboard inlays and classic volume and tone knobs, complete this package.
  20. Robert Fripp sits in a chair and makes most guitarist look foolish and he is his 70's. So who says ya have to stand.
  21. If the hole has been made bigger where the plug goes in. Stew Mac makes a product called Nojack that goes in the hole and accepts the standard size shove in kind strap button. I ripped the electronics out a guitar and it worked like a charm.
  22. How do you fit them down there. That one case a family could live in.
  23. We should have a FAQ section that addresses all the FAQ's. What is my guitar worth? How many were made? What pickups should I buy? What strings are the best? How many J-45 models are there? And the list can go on and on.
