  1. Rocking my frets right now. Taking a coffee break. Damn I am only at the 8th fret and had to do most of them.
  2. Touching the girls is frowned upon and bubba the bouncer will lightly escort you to the door if you do.
  3. At one point I had 6 Martin's. Reduced it to 4. One high end, one 12er, one home beater, and one I leave at our house we inherited (also a beater). Want a Bird or a Dove. Preferably a Dove due to I have nothing maple, but don't need them. J-200's are nice but dreads are large enough. If I get one it will be used. I've got Hog and Rosewood covered.
  4. I know Steve has a killer set up. I think he posted a pic of it a long time ago. I got all my stuff in Japan when I was stationed there. I have a Denon DP-59-L Turntable, Denon POA 2400 Power Amp, Denon PRA 1200 Pre-amp and Polk Audio RTA 11T Tower speakers, and Polk Audio 5JR Monitor Speakers. Does the job. Even though I foolishly gave away about I'm guessing 150 records I still have over 800. Haven't counted in a while. I have maybe 500 cds. Havent counted them In a while either. My prize possession is a Japanese copy of The White Album on white vinyl and it has never been touched by a needle. I have 8 or 9 copies of The White Album. I got a problem with that one. The album cover looks damaged in the pic but it's not. Its absolutely pristine. I have the 4 photos out of it of the lads framed in my man cave. The poster is still inside. I got 3 other vinyl copies of it I let a needle touch. If you haven't heard the 50th Ann. stuff its killer. I like them better than the originals as well. Stuff in the mix you never heard is now audible. The first plays of each was a shock to the system.
  5. I will and I know you will. Still waiting for You Are What You Is (that was just after I got into him and it holds a place in my heart). I have Ship Arriving and Shut Up all three on killer Japanese pressings. Apostrophe is my absolute fav and could listen it every day followed by Joe's Garage, but that one takes some time as its 6 sides long. Are affair has been quite heated You Thought I was what you need
  6. I'll get it sorted or take it to my guy. You too.
  7. As you know contract work is contract work. I worked as a Navy contractor for years after I got out. Saw enough ships when I was in and one day had enough. It's cool to say I work at NASA but really it's a job. They are government entity and have issues like anyplace were people work, it's just a lot of smart people work there, I am not one of them. I hate working and want to retire, but can't. I had an interview with GD but turned it down. They wanted me to travel to work on ships, work 6 days week away from my family. Um no, already did that in my 20's and 30's and some of my 40's. I'll drive 20 mins to work and leave at 3:30, thanks but no thanks.
  8. Valdamort [is that his name not a HP geek] might swoop in and steal that. F-in nice.
  9. My band is me in my room playing horribly on my D-41. Does Springsteen need another guitarist?
  10. I just took off the stings and flattened the neck and did a quick rock of a few and they need it. Tomorrow I got work to do. Hope it sorts it. I do not want to get a new nut put on. But if I do, oh well.
  11. As the CD age came about I stupidly gave my freinds all my Zappa LP's as I got them on CD. What the hell do I need these hiss filled things for when CD's are quiet as hell. As you can guess I a kicking myself in the @ss at this moment. Listened to Ruben when it came now its Absolutely Free time.
  12. You have all the gear. Leave some for Joe B.
  13. Consistency is not Gibson's strong point. They have about 15 different ways you need to run through a matrix to determine what way the serial numbering system was that week.
  14. I'm having the same problem on an acoustic. On the low E 7th and 8th fret only when hammering from open.If I fret on the Low E from 5 then to 7 its . Its pissing me off. I'm gonna rock my frets tomorrow. I have relief in it. The low E nut slot may be just a hair to low.
  15. Looks killer. I have never like that style pickguard. I think solid black would do it more justice. That is must me. I am not a fan of tortoise shell guards either. Although 3 of my 4 acoustics have them.
  16. I think like cars the new models come out before the end of the year. So it could be their next year model built at the end of the year.
  17. They can keep it at Music Zoo. Looks nice Joe B can afford it not me.
  18. Shiek I will get in a week or two. Then One Size, Freak Out, Roxy, Chunga's, Orchestral Favorites 40th, FZ in NY 40th, Burnt Weeny, Weasels. Might do Lumpy Gravy. Never really dug that. Weasels and Burnt have moments I can't take. Saw him live in '84 three times.
  19. Thanks. I only owned Strats with whammy bars and one Jazzmaster. Never a Bigs or anything on my SG's.
  20. Where does it say it was made? If out of the USA it is not a Gibson. Epi does that with their TRC. They are owned by Gibson though. Go to the Epi side of the forum those guys are the experts ask them if its a Gibson, and see what they say . If I'm wrong please let me know. Gibson is making Epi's in the States starting this year.
  21. Good advice, but who doesn't want one more? Welcome
  22. Owned a few SG's in my day. I had and ebony Standard, two Specials, and faded one. Welcome now get to rocking Sin City.
  23. I know. I'm just giving you an option. Once you have body and neck you want, there is nothing you can purchase. If you just want to have a spread sheet that you can plug in your list of things you want seems like you are on your way to accomplishing that on your own. Remember that what you want has to be out there to purchase. If you make a grand list of things you want and it ain't available to buy or to much money, then what. There is also a Custom shop and you can pay for and tell Gibson exactly what you want. There is only so many combinations of things. You say you have OCD, I don't know if your kidding or for real. I'm not trying to argue with you just make a suggestion. I'll go now and leave you to your list.
  24. Steve Howe would play that. If its tight and at a good price get it.
