I think, by now, you realize you asked what time it is and got told how to build a watch! I have a 2010 Hummingbird 12-String...FOR SURE the nicest 12-String I've ever had my hands on. Honey-Burst with Mahogany back & sides. I also have a 2011 Hummingbird Custom Koa...it's sound is incredible.... the short scale and Koa wood makes it challenge my Dove for top spot in my guitar line-up. Read and take heed....these guy know their stuff on guitars.

I know the tuners on my 12-String are smaller than the standard ones..... just don't know the size of the "mini".

Murph, are "Mini-Grovers" the same as those used on the 12-Strings?

I swapped out the tuners on my J-50. It had the individual Kluson tuners with "butterbean" knobs.... they were fine, but were old and starting to get too hard for me to twist with my arthritis. I had a set of Gold Grover Tulip tuners just laying around.... they're MUCH easier to twist, and I like the way they look.

I live in a pretty 'low-crime' area....but I did catch a couple of guys in my motor home one morning, (maybe 26-27 years ago). Since then I lock the doors on it! I had my old Dove in the motor home at the time....but I scared them away before they got much. I do carry a loaded gun around the property.....but for coyotes.

My wife's grandfather was a genealogist way back in the 50's and 60's. When I met him he wanted to tell me that she was related to two US Presidents, and that one of her relatives came over on the Mayflower! I told him, I'm sure one of my relatives was on the shore to welcome him!

Murph, since I live in California, I tend to keep my guitars in their cases. Leslie used to hang her Hummingbird 12-String on the wall.... it was hanging on the wall when the big earthquake hit Napa....it fell off and broke the headstock off. Even though she sent it back to Gibson to be repaired, I think she couldn't stand the fact that it had been damaged....so she sold it to me....actually a good thing....I've recorded WELL OVER 100 songs with it! And you have to look pretty danged hard to find where Gibson repaired it!

I'm not really a TV watcher..... Except for RFD-TV, (Marty Stuart, Presley's Country Jubilee & Legends of the Grand Ole Opry). My one 'sinful pleasure' is Battlebots....I watch them over and over.

And THAT is why I NEVER get my panties in a wad about anything posted here. I do enjoy several people on here.... I became friends with a few members who are no longer active, (Leslie, Fred & Stephen). But, if someone disagrees with something I said....heck, I don't even agree with myself 100% of the time.

On the piano? Yes...of course....but not when I was alone.....THAT would be weird! But you're right....about half of what I post on here is pure BS.

After over 60 years playing...I suppose I've just about done it all. I used to play the piano nekked.... no lights, just candles on the piano....still couldn't get laid in a "hore" house with a fistfull of $100 bills!

I have 3 acoustic guitars I ONLY play in sweat pants and shirts without buttons.... then I have 3 others I play with cheap jeans, expensive jeans, or no jeans!
