I just sold my 15th pedal yesterday. I've made over $1000 on selling pedals alone. Next week I will start selling a few guitars. This morning I sold an old set of Gibson 61 zebras that I pulled out of my SGJ. They had been sitting in their box in the closet collecting dust. I put them on Reverb this morning and within an hour somebody had bought them! I have made 3 of my last 17 sales in Kentucky. They must have a lot of guitar players there.
  2. Well, the song came out in 1973. That was 46 years ago! It was a different time then. It was a different song then too.
  3. Not even close. I just watched the video from Shinedown. I was not impressed. Perhaps that singer is technically a "better" singer than Ronny, but I like Ronny much more. One of the reasons I like LS is because of the way RVZ sings. It's authentic. It's real. I grew up in the South. I know what a Southern man sounds like. I didn't feel that way when I was listening to the guy in Shinedown. I felt like I was listening to a cheap copy.
  4. Me too. I have spent time adjusting the pickup's (the poles) proximity to the string many times. But I have never spent a second on worrying about how parallel it was. But that's me.
  5. Is there conclusive evidence that having the pickups parallel with the strings makes it sound better? I have no idea, myself.
  6. That is sharp looking! I would swap out the placement of the pickups however. I'd rather have the P90 in the bridge and the hb in the neck.

    Summer

I don't even know what a "polar rain suit and electric gloves" are, but man that sounds cool as sh!t! That has to wind up in some lyrics of mine somewhere in the future.

    Summer

I grew up in Georgia, where Summers are very hot, and the humidity is awful. I remember how at night it often was still hot outside. I loved the countryside, the green side of Georgia. I miss that. But I do not miss the humidity. Living in California for the past 32 years has made me quite spoiled. I now find it very hard to go anywhere where there is high humidity. The dry heat we get here is wonderful. I know that sounds weird. But I spent so much of my life with humid air that when I feel 100 degree temperatures here, they just don't feel that hot to me as others around me. I always tell them. This is nothing compared to Georgia, or Texas, or New York, or....

Apologies to my friends down under. I know Winter is kicking in down there.

    Summer

It gets very hot in the Central Valley of California as well. But many nights, in Sacramento, it cools down 30-40 degrees or more when the Delta breeze blows in from the Bay Area. That breeze is so nice. It makes the evenings enjoyable.
  11. This holds no interest for me at all. Good luck on your quest. I think you're going to need it.

    Summer

My favorite time of the year. Most definitely because I am a public school teacher and do not work for about 7 weeks during the Summer. So, of course, I love it! But more than just having time off, I like Baseball, and going swimming, traveling, and going to outdoor music venues. I also love the fact that it doesn't get dark until 9 pm. What do you guys like about Summer? Or don't like? Got any plans this Summer?
  13. Welcome Bubba! You will probably like it around here.

No purchases planned. I really have most of what I want/need. I have been wanting to sell some stuff for a long time. The problem is I'm lazy. Well, last week I had to have the AC fixed in my truck. It cost a grand total of $3200!! That is what motivated me to get off my a$$ and start selling some stuff. Now it has kind of become addictive. I can't stop selling stuff!!! And Reverb just makes it really easy for me. I had some really bad experiences with other sites. So far, Reverb is doing me pretty good.

I could tell you a story about the trouble I had once with EBay. But I'm not. I will just say it is comparable to yours. But worse I won't use eBay ever again. To each his own.

That is one beautiful guitar! I'm with you. I would prefer the LP style controls also. And those tuners are very cool!
  19. I have 17 total. That is the most I have ever owned. I just began playing in 2006. 13 electric, 2 bass guitars, 2 acoustic. But I'm getting ready to sell one or two electrics soon. I have 2 drums sets also. One electric and one acoustic.
  20. Yes! Very nice match!!! Now make sure you have some good ear plugs.
  21. I have a Washburn dreadnought. I wonder if it's value just went up?😁

I did not know that. I have bought stuff from Chicago Music Exchange. I think they always send you a sticker with their name/logo on it.
  23. Very cool. Is that you singing? And why wasn't the camera on the singer? Good vocals! guitar sounded great too!

I have found that the Shipping part is so much easier for me on Reverb than on Ebay. Loading pics is super simple as well. I also like being able to negotiate a price with the seller. And like that you can decide on a final price as a seller, or decide to letter other buyers negotiate with you.
