The Omen. Good call! I saw that on HBO when I was in High School about 1979. It terrified me. And I loved it! I thought the Shining was, well, not good. I am a King fan, read most of his books. The Shining, in book form is good. But the movie left me unsatisfied to say the least. I know however, that many people seem to like it and pick it as one of their favorites.

The Excorcist scared the crap out of me. My all time favorite is Evil Dead. Both 1 and 2. Dawn of the Dead a close second.
