  1. I saw the first Star Wars movie. Liked it. Then I saw Empire Strikes Back. Did not like it. Never wanted to, and never did see another one.
  2. I don't own a Casino, nor claim to be very knowledgeable about them. But I believe they do have the sticker inside the body. The tuners are another question. It is weird that they appear to have no name of the manufacturer on the tuners.
  3. What amp are you using? That's just as important imo as the pickups. Are you using any pedals!
  4. Congratulations! It's not plywood. And never assume. 😃
  5. Yep, only seen 'em on mandolins.
  6. I started playing drums when I was about 12 or 13. My brother took up the guitar soon after. We jammed a lot growing up. I sometimes messed around with his guitars. But not often. In my late 20s my brother bought me a Washburn dreadnought he bought at a yard sale. I played it. And I began writing music. But there were long breaks when I did not even pick it up. Then, when I was about 44 years old I bought this beat up Aria Pro II piece of sh!t and a tiny, crappy amp from a student of mine (I'm a teacher). I had a blast with it for about a 2 weeks until the amp and then the guitar just stopped working. They had both been stored in a garage for who knows how long. That 2 weeks had a profound affect on me. I knew I needed to buy my first electric guitar and teach myself to play. And that's what I did. 12 years later, and I now have 17 guitars. 13 electric, 2 acoustic, and 2 basses. And I still have the Washburn. I still play the drums. I threw the Aria Pro in the dumpster, and I'm glad I did.
  7. Yeah I gave up after the 2nd paragraph
  8. Thank you! Yep, yours looks just like mine. It is a great playing guitar. I love the pickups in them too. Nice rig you've got there.
  9. No, I think you are wrong. A lot of people would not agree that it is "quite ugly". Maybe they might prefer something else. But quite ugly? No. "Weird shape" and "cool looking" are terms that are highly subjective to each individual. I'm pretty sure we each have our own idea of what these terms mean. I have never understood how anyone can get worked up about the Epi head stock. I just don't care at all what a head stock looks like. When I play, I am not looking at the head stock.
  10. Yes. In the last year of my Dads fight with cancer I wrote a song called "My Dad". I had trouble making it through the recording. I listened to once later. And in the past two years I have not listened to it once. Because I know I would cry. Btw my Dad loved the song. And showed the lyrics to everyone he saw. Yeah...l know...
  11. Cool! I play that song almost every time I pick up one of electric guitars. It's a fun song to play.
  12. Why would they put the serial number on the back of the headstock if they put it in the f hole??? You couldn't feel the finish? So it feels like unfinished wood? Really?
  13. I agree. I've had my 2007 Epi Dot since 2008 and have never even thought about switching out the pups. Sounds great to me!
  14. It didn't cost very much new, and it's not worth much used. It's a guitar for a beginner and does not have anything "special" about it. I don't believe there would be any investment value for this particular guitar. Sorry :(
  15. Usually the "plus" means a nicer finish. My LP Standard Plus is the one in my avatar. It has a flame maple finish on it. But I am not sure about the Tribute model.
  16. I have a '97 Indonesian Epi SG Jr. that is just about as perfect as it could get.
  17. I've learned a lot from this guy. His name is Robert Renman, he's Swedish, currently living in Canada. He has all kinds of stuff (rock, blues, jazz etc.) at all levels. And it's free. http://www.dolphinstreet.com/
