  1. Nitro is flammable in a liquid state. When spraying , the oversprays are flammable. when sanding nitro dry. It can create dust that can get into your lungs in a dried state. No. No more toxic than the wood it sits on . urathane is no different. As a liquid , its toxic, when sprayed it has a catalyst that will eat your lungs. And is very flammable when it is dry ,cured. No harm. sanding certain woods like ebony or rosewood can cause serious damage if you dont wear proper protection.
  2. I can go to my local engraver and get anything put on a trussrod cover. the paperwork is your ticket to a legit 335. my L5ces Crimson has the same boolklet.
  3. I would think naptha is chemical based. It may bite into the clear then you will have a mess. Try baby powder on the hands first or alittle bit of vasoline on the hands first. Sometimes acid in the hands can create a chemical reaction to finishes.
  4. Its a good way to eliminate polishing compound around the top and fingerboard. Less complaining. 😬 and they sound better Okeedokie
  5. Your being to kind on those. I tried those greasy fat basted things on the east side of Chicago while traveling out to King of Prussia for a 3 bee guitar show Just awe full .

  8. It is interesting to compare two different guitars. Thats the fun part I bought a beat up Mossman a month ago from the 70s . They nailed the tone, playability, These have there quirts. But its permanent fixture here . Franklin is another .
  9. They have a unique tone. I had a Hummingbird pretty much the same. Same year as well.
  10. How does it sound. Looks like alot going on in there. I know my 67 SJ had some tone. But not lots of tone. Your is much the same as mine in side.
  11. I think the forward shift was on AJs, J35s. If Im reading you right. now for the X , was it spread apart , or equal pies? I have a couple Martins that are rear shifed braces. , I would have to look at those on how the X is configured
  12. I checked my 60s - J45s and 50s. all have Standard bracing. No scallops.
  13. First off what model on guitar do you have? J45 , SJ, or?
  14. The bottom one looks like a Guild case. the top one looks like a 1970s. some mid 60s into the 70s had a yellow /gold lining. The red interior could very well be into the 80s.
  15. when I was at Bee3 King of Prussia in 92/3 The Japan buyers had 3 40 foot trailers full of purchases.
