I owned one just like yours. 4 digit serial number as well. A old friend bought it from me. Its still in his collection. A factory p90 guitar. I have a J50e from 56.

Hyde glue. Acoustics. ( neck and bridge). electric. ( neck). just about every guitar is glued that way. Problem is. Most like Martin ,Gibson and what other builders. Seem to stretch the stuff out to maximize the product. There fore not enough on the guitars to keep them together

Please help me find my husband’s stolen ‘68 Blue Ridge
slimt replied to Pleasehelp's topic in Gibson Acoustic
. I know recovery of a guitar cannot be done without a photo, serial number or , and proof of purchase from prior of it being stolen . Was it reported at the time of theft? Police wont do anything without those documents. Pawn shops are the place to go for quick cash. a person I know here lost some very valuable guitars With all numbers in place and reporting right away This was quite a few years ago. Still not recovered I hope you can find all the serial number to recover. If not. You might not be able to do anything. -

Probably a run of those were done for a Store chain. Never seen that combo before -
Not very long ago, Gibson made a 67 Reissue J200 with the adjustable bridge , I believe it was a ABR style

Yup. Had one of those some time ago. Almost doubled my money on it as well. It bought many vintage pieces.

5600 list. What do these actually sell for where your at? Not sure where your at on on they are priced. Up here in Canada. It would be in the 5600 cdn range to buy. Im sure if I walked into a commission store. Im pretty sure 5100 cdn cash would take one home. so 4000 from a 5600us list isnt bad

Which version of a SJ200 you talking about. ?

Nice looking Dove. And the original case. I believe these had huge square labels inside. Orange and white. Yours looks good.

Gibson M2M J180 based off of the Everly Brothers Guitar

Look into acquiring a J185. If its that body style of guitar your looking for. There pretty nice and not muted by the huge guards -
Help me identify this SG 1967 or 1963
slimt replied to smittyinnola's topic in Instrument ID and information
Im leaning towards 1967. reason. Nut width, crown on headstock in wrong location, should have a vibrola , the heel is not 1963 , volume/tone knobs are 1967 -
I got me one of those. Mine has a bubble blister quilt top.

I might be able to get more info on it. Might take a couple of days.

Does it have Brazilian on the label? That was the year as well for Madagascar, mine was a burst. the 90s Brazilian versions were Custom shop guitars, they were requested by clients , they were signed inside the tops as well.
-
The AJ was built to exact specs in 89 90. Gary loaned the AJs to Ren to duplicate, in 2001 the AJ would of been a low grade Brazilian, iron wood , Rosewood, Madagascar introduced in 2008. In the Anniversary models I have 6 AJs here from 92 to 96. The Brazilian on those I provided for the builds. I also have a Madagascar version. my two originals that I owned from 1939 were Indian Rosewood my 34 L2 14 fret is Brazilian

I make many mistakes as well. In most cases reading the question wrong. its not a big deal.

I had a couple Super 400 archtops. They were Nice guitars. They projected lots of volume. But just oversized for my liking. silly me , went and got a Style U harp guitar. 19” wide body. 🙂. those 000-42s have huge volume for a smaller body guitar. Martin did a Run of those. A limited run of Brazilans. And I think they did a run of standard Rosewoods. they also did a run of the 000-28ec and ecb models. I ended up getting a 000-42 39 Authentic with madagascar ,

The Martin is a 000-42 , and a early one. the Super 400 is a cool piece as well.
