  1. I agree about the authentics being different. I have owned 000-42s, D-45s in the standard line ups. Though they are really nice Martins. The Authentic series of each. Are outstanding. I own both a D45 and a 000-42 in the authentic models. Ya you pay more. But if its clarity and tone your after. Martin nailed on these. . .
  2. All the Norlin acoustics I had owned were Nitro
  3. Congrats on the retirement.
  4. I believe that was the first run for the Nick Lucas. Since the 30s That would be the time frame for the start of special Runs. Including the Robert Johnson L1
  5. The 1995 line up I knew was available. But up here in Canada. None of those were available, except the Buddy Holly which were pre sold. there was a 12 Guitar line up called the Montana Specials. They were different from what was in the limited editions. I know I had a few of those. I had to go into a Gibson dealer in Montana to aquire those.
  6. There is the exception. Ive seen a few acoustics that I owned in the past. That would pass for Murphy
  7. Is there a brass plaque on the back of the headstock? Im pretty sure Montana Specials were made in 95. 12 different models. Im pretty sure. That year only ,did not have a catalog.
  8. Before you know it. 20 years will pass by. Your present guitar will be a older guitar. With all the signs of abuse. Dried out, cracked finishes, dents from missing the guitar stand, And you save the additional cost of having someone else having fun neglecting the guitar .
  9. The 90s was the time I remember for this model. I seem to remember as well Epiphone from the mid 60s with these is US made models. My time frame could be wrong.
  10. I have owned a few Gibson acoustic and electrics Of different models that have had clear separation at glue or butt joints. The nut, fingerboard areas the odd one at the heel. keep in mind. We only get a year up here for a warranty on new purchases.
  11. Though Im sure there trying to correct the issue. Just maybe. 😬
  12. I dont know if the early Birds came in a dark burst. I do remember my 61 have a light cherry burst. nice Bird you have though.
  13. A inventor that put Gibson pretty much on the map with a strong following , seems like the right thing. a Entertainer , well not so much
  14. I kind of see as. Why would you want someone elses name on your guitar?
  15. There was a Everly model from the 90s that had the pinless bridge. I think it might of been one of the Montana specials. Not a fan of Sig guitars. A cheap guitar and a record would be just fine in this case
  16. Its not only L00 Gibsons. Most if not all have those issues.
  17. Its really tough giving a value sight unseen. The best reference for these would be reverb or gbase.
  18. B25. Small body. Should be a 14” lower bout. Belly bottom bridge.
  19. I used to have one of those just like that one.
  20. Back in the Day, Barbie Benton was alot better. 😬.
