It’s an SJ200 with a different Pickguard with Pettys’ name on it... I’m a big Petty fan but I’d rather have a regular SJ200 for about half the cost.

That may one commonality they share with Fender! LOL!
-
The variations are numerous. Their Models may look similar but there have been so many changes in most Gibson Guitars over the years... Heck in a given year.. They usually have several variations of all their Guitar Models.. 6-12 of each Model.. Every year! All different.. You might need more than one book!

Some really great music was made using Casino’s... The Peerless & Terada built are amazingly well crafted & sound fantastic.. Arguably one the most versatile Guitars you can own. Also some of the MIC built are great Guitars. The IBJL’s, Gary Clark Jr. Blak n Blu, 50th Anniv. 1961 Casino’s are excellent Guitars....

Some thoughts on value, utility, and high-dollar guitars

My Mom played Piano beautifully.. At one point she had an 8 foot Steinway Concert Grand.. The most beautiful sounding Piano I’ve ever heard. -
Some thoughts on value, utility, and high-dollar guitars

A Toyota Corolla is a great Car & does everything you need.. Even has great Quality! But, I don’t want to drive one.. Some things just do it better! I prefer my black Corvette, my black Silverado Crew Cab Pickup & my silver Lexus ES350... Do I need them? No. They check all the boxes for sure.. At least for me. I’ve reached a point in my life I can have pretty much anything I want. But, I don’t go overboard. I may be a bit of a snob but I like having nice Things... So I do. Same with Guitars.. I buy the Guitars I like for what they can do for me.. Not some dude in the future.. Resale value will be what it will be.. I buy higher end quality so I don’t worry about it... Quality does make a difference.. -
New EPI, Sheraton or Gibson inspired 335? Or maybe 339Pro?
Larsongs replied to sjturbo's topic in Epiphone Electrics
I’ve owned a real 1959 Gibson ES345 & own a Gibson ES335.. Both are wonderful Guitars... There was a period after I sold the 345 & was missing it that I bought an Epi Dot 335.. It was a great Guitar & everybody was trying to buy it from me. I finally sold it to a good friend as I needed some cash to fund another purchase.. Later I bought a Gibson ES335 & still have it... I have played a bunch of Epi Pro 335’s & never ran into a bad one.. Every one has been great! The Pro’s Pickups sounded better to me than the Epi Dots... IMO either would be an excellent choice for a really great moderate price Guitar that is well Crafted, looks, plays & sounds great, -
Beautiful Guitar! I’ve got the new USA Casino on Order & they’re saying it will ship in July... It will round out my Collection of Gibsons, Epiphones, Fenders, Gretschs, Rics, Martins & Phantoms... I’m pretty much done as well.. But, it refuse to connect the COVID name to anything as it is such a huge negative & I will ecstatic when we’ve moved past this Period.... Enjoy yours....

I want to put pick ups into my J50. But which should I add?
Larsongs replied to Byron Carr's topic in Gibson Acoustic
Man, that is such a subjective question.. It’s almost like if you gotta ask maybe you shouldn’t mess up a great Guitar if you don’t know what you want... Ask 20 Guys & you’ll get 20 answers.. And they’re all right. You might be better off watching a ton of YouTube’s of different A/E Guitars & get an idea of the Sound you want.. Then go play a few.. Once you know what Sound you want go for it.... IMO, the best sounding Gibson A/E Guitar is my Bozeman Masterbilt Solid Top J-160E with P90.... -
Maybe the guys at Wild West could reach out to the guy who traded it in & ask him to forward it? Just a thought..
-
Congrats & Enjoy that nice Martin!

I meant Uline.com for Boxes... Spell check did it..
-
Uline.com sells Guitar shipping Boxes cheap.... While that 28 is a sweet Guitar I’d have kept the 41 & played it... It’s just a Guitar...

If my Aunt was a Man she’d be my Uncle..... so much for hypotheticals....

I will post a review when I get my USA Casino & let you all know how it compares to the Terada built Casino’s which are flawless in looks, playability, craftsmanship & sound...
-
Did you guys post your comparison Videos? I’m anxious to hear... I congratulate you on your NGD’s...
-
I believe so.. Hopefully they are every bit as good as the Terada Casino’s. Arguably the Worlds Builder of the finest Crafted Production Guitars... I’ve had a Royal Tan USA Casino on Order for a year and a half....... The current date of availability is July...
-
Put a set of Fralin, Lollar or Duncan P90’s & it will go from sounding good to sounding amazing! Awesome Guitar!
-
Some of the best built Casino’s were built at Terada in Japan... Hope Epiphone reintroduces some new Terada Epi’s soon.
-
I love it! You’re a lucky Man! Enjoy.
-
For that kind of money I’d buy Vintage.....
-
I’d rather see a few Reissues they don’t make anymore.... A Vintage Sunburst CF100-E, a Vintage Sunburst Reverse Firebird VII with Gold Hardware & Maestro & a Goldtop VOS ES Les Paul with P90’s & Bigsby... I’ll buy all 3....

Well here's a package you don't get every day...
