  1. My Gibson Memphis Blacktop ES Les Paul with MHS Pickups has a Bigsby B5 & Vibramate. Looks like it came from the Factory with it.. Plays fantastic, no tuning issues & it weighs less than 8 lbs… Total!
  2. Bigsbys’s website gives the models of Bigsby’s that are designed for what kind of Guitar.. There may be a couple that work on a certain model. The models not ending in 0 are the higher quality… Choice can be subjective.. Do check out Vibramates website also.. They work perfectly with Bigsby’s to make it possible to not damage the Guitar with holes or scratches.. They allow the ability to remove a Bigsby, if you want, & not leave any holes or other marks.. Brilliant!
  3. I know what you’re saying.. P90’s have spoiled me too.. It’s like after you’ve played them there’s no going back…..
  4. I agree… They should not be compared to each other.. The Epi’s are excellent Guitars at their price point… I don’t intend to insult anyone. I’m just stating fact as I see & hear it based on my experience.. I’ve played many & have owned both.. I still own a Gibson ES335.. The $599 Epi isn’t in the same ballpark sound wise as the Gibson ES335… Although, It’s pretty & is good enough for many…
  5. Yes.. You do get what you pay for… Although for many the Epiphone Dots are perfectly fine Guitars.. I have both & there is a big difference.. The Craftsmanship, Materials, Electronics, Pickups etc. IMO were/are worth the extra cost… No, they are not the same.. No matter what Baloney anyone tries to sell you..
  6. I have to call BS! I have Bigsby’s on many Guitars. Gretsch Guitars uses them exclusively & Gretsch is building about the finest Guitars on the Planet.. Short of Custom Shop… Gretsch also has Custom Shop that rival any Guitar on the Planet as well. There are 2 Series of Bigsbys in each of their models. An inexpensive one in which the Model ends with a 0.. Such as a B70 & a top quality one without the 0.. such as a B7. They work perfect! Always go for the high quality… They are also the best looking… Also, if you don’t want holes in your Guitar use a Vibramate.. They are incredible, leave no holes & allow for complete reversal to stock. You’d never know it had ever been there..
  7. Emails are a waste of time.. Pick up the Phone & Call!
  8. Both are pretty… One is good. The other, in most cases, is outstanding!
  9. The Peerless, I own one, are really good Guitars. Especially with upgraded USA P90’s… There are many differences between the Peerless & USA.. 5 Ply vs 3 Ply Top to begin with… All the Electronics, Tuners, Nut & Pickups are highest quality USA vs MIC or MIK. There is no Royal Tan in Asian or Korean Casino’s.. Many of the Appointments like reverse Neck Inlays & Headstock. There are probably more but this gives an idea…. The biggest thing to me is the sound difference.. The Asian P90’s are brittle & harsh while the USA P90’s aren’t….
  10. Congrats on your NGD! Curious what you mean by, pretty much perfect? I also have a Peerless Korean Casino with Bigsby & it’s a good Guitar but the Pickups don’t sound as good as the Gibson USA P90’s in my IBJL Revolution Casino or my 50th Anniv. 1961 Casino with Tremotone… The latter being my go to Casino for several years.. It’s on par with the Elitist’s that I’ve Played. I’m hoping the new USA Casinos will be even better…
  11. No, I have the Vintage Sunburst Gibson ES335 like the one in the above Picture. I also have an Epiphone USA Casino in Royal Tan with Nickel Dogear P90’s on Order.. Like the one in the above Picture….

    White SG

I always thought of them as light weights until I saw them live about 10 years ago.. All Pro Players, Singers & Entertainers with a String of Hit Songs everyone in the crowd sang all the words too… They are definitely not Lightweights! I dig that SG too!
  13. I have that ES335… Great Guitar! I also have that Royal Tan USA Casino on Order. It is supposed to be here in August but now they’re telling me Sept…
  14. Best of luck if you ever try to sell it!
  15. Yeah, I think most here are familiar with the differences between them.. No worries..
  16. Yes, Sweetwater.. They are sold according to the date of the Customers original Order.. The Royal Tan is a harder color to get…
  17. I’ve had a Royal Tan Epiphone USA Casino with Nickel Dogear Covers on Order for more than a Year… Still waiting.. The Supply Chain is a Global Issue. It’s impacting everything…..
  18. Good to know although in over 30 years I don’t recall having static problems with Gibsons…. And I own several…
  19. I have both & like them pretty much equally… They are different Guitars & each have a different Sound.. Both sound great though.. The Casinos are lighter which is great if you’re playing for long periods while standing.. The ES335’s have a longer playable scale fretboard to hit the high notes which is great for Lead Guitar. I tend to play my Casinos more.. I really like the versatility of their Sound.. They do everything well..
  20. My eyes must’ve been seeing things! I totally misread your post.. My apologies… No Center Block & yes they are different than Casinos..
  21. Check out the content used in these Guitars including Plek’d Necks.. These are built equivalent to many of the top of the line Gibsons not Entry level Student Guitars.. Above many of the Standard Series.
  22. I did mean for it to be in that other Thread… Not intended. Back to your Thread….
  23. Man, I love those J200’s & SJ200’s!!! Thanks for the GASS!!!
  24. Are J200’s different than SJ200’s? Isn’t one a Jumbo & the other a Super Jumbo? It appears yours is all Solid wood but it’s vague on the one with Walnut Back & Sides?
