  1. Certainly glad not a lot of photos because I still cannot post. Like Murf, I had a 67 Barracuda for a graduation present in 70. I drove it on the streets for awhile, then gutted it out turning it into a race car on the NHRA. It was my learning curve. It had a tunnel ram, 2 Hollie 4 barrel carburetors and the whole nine yards. My 2nd race car was a 67 Camaro which I raced in bracket racing. It did well. Then I wanted to go all out. Some gals had a 71 Dodge Colt that was vandalized. It was stripped out, no seats and so forth. I offered them cash for scrap. Then I finished stripping it down. sold the engine and parts. I had Arrow Dynamics put a tube chassis in it and a 12 point roll cage, all 2130 Chrome Molly steal. Fiberglas parts, and aluminun floor and interior. Plexiglass windows in it. The car weighed 2,060 pounds with me in it. It was built on the bassist's as a Pro Stock. I raced it at Scribner in the 70's and the car was points leader then. Scribner had a low index at that time for Pro Gas which is the classic I raced in. It won first place several times in shows and at the track. It was gorgeous. Oh and all chevy powered although I had other motors for it including a HEMI. It would run 8 seconds flat with a 350 engine I had for it. But with Scribner's slow index, I ran a half second or more faster than the competition. We called the engine in it our junk engine. Lol
  2. We're probably in the same boat then. According to doctors, I should have died 7 times now. They can't explain how or why I'm still alive.
  3. I still remember way before the interstate system wasn't even thought of. Just a double high way. As a kid, in Council Bluffs, We picked Mulberries off trees where the interstate system is now.
  4. I think Rob might have you all beat? He should be 79 going on 80? I will be 71.
  5. I collected lots of picks also. I have some unique Stone Works picks. I do set limits of how much I will pay for them though. They do get pricey.
  6. I know mine isn't fake. I called Gibson and they told me when they released it from the shop and how much it sold for.
  7. Now this computer is a stupid deal. 3 days ago I was going to get on here and it wouldn't let me. I had to wait till my wife wasn't busy sewing quilts as she's behind so she could fix it. It locked up and wouldn't let me on Gibson or sign off to close down. When she fixed it she said she did nothing. It just worked. I honestly get so frustrated with anything electronics.
  8. Haha, at that price they want, I doubt they find even few to bite? I could be wrong?
  9. Plus shipping also. What a steal.
  10. Enjoy every day with him and each moment. My wife & I lost both our parents and there is such an emptiness without them.
  11. Ringo's wife? Barbara Bach played the Bond girl....Anya Amasova in THE SPY WHO LOVED ME.
  12. Reminds me of the Yellow Lab Sundance used to play with at the lake on our walks. His name was Gunner. I remember that because my first doberman was named Gunner.
  13. We went to Cabbalas and I found USA made leather cowboy Boots. Yeah! So We bought them.
  14. Its hard to find anything fully made in the USA anymore. I haven't seen clothes made here for decades. Electronics. Even food is shipped.
  15. Lately we've been paying more for good concerts here. Like we saw Pink Floyd for some Anniversary years ago. That one was worth it. She went on line and found tickets in the nose bleed by the stage for $425 a piece in Omaha. Anyway, Sgt was right about the warm up band. The Doobie Brothers are taking Steely Dans place. So It should be a great concert.
  16. He is cute. I love dogs. Always had one. I got stuck on Dobermans when I started showing them and thats how my wife and I met was through the dog shows.
  17. And although I don't know everyone on here, I do Like every one.
  18. That answers it. Not worth it. Yeah no sentimental value. my wife bought it for me after we married and we just celebrated our 44th Anniversary today. It was only worth $300.00 new. Thanks.
  19. Thanks. I grew up loving the game. My uncle actualy taught me wrong, Iv'e learned mostly on my own. I got so good at it I was beating the crap out of the Nebraska state champion and then had such a splitting headache, I couldn't concentrate. I thought I beat him but at the time, I didn't understand the clock rules. His flag dropped but he called the tournament director over who saw we both completed the 1hr and 45 moves so he reset the clock and we played for 3 hours. I didn't think that was right. Thought it was an Hour Robin game. Anyway, I didn't know it back then but that splitting headache was my Brain Tumor cancer. So I wanted to get the game over and lost on purpose. Then The tumor had me all messed up and I lost everything. I used to be able to think in my head 13 moves ahead in 3 different variations. So could set up traps not many could see. Thats how I beat the Experts. But the tumor had me all messed up so I went to Russian Chess and learned from the masters at first and now I'm learning from the GrandMasters. I don't play anyone anymore. Just want to be able to beat my Master Kasparov computer is all.
  20. Haha. Never was interested in that game. I've taught lots of people to play chess though. Funny, A friend of mine hired on to Burlington Northern RR and he played a coworker. Ken got beat 5 out of 5 games. He called me up and told me how that guy opened up. I told him he had a bad opening and created lots of weakness in his pawn structures. I told Ken how to beat him and he went back to work and lost again. Ken called me up again and I asked him what he did? He told me and I told him he didn't do what I said. Ken went back and played the 3rd day and won like 4 games in a row. From then on the tables were turned around. Now here's the funny part. I hired on to BNRR and Dave kept ASKING ME TO TEACH HIM. So I did for several months. He lived in Lincoln. This guy really paid attention to what I taught. He improved so much, I talked him into entering a Chess tournament in Lincoln. So I entered Top rated category and Dave entered unrated category. I was so proud f him. Dave took top trophy in Unrated while I won top class. It only went up to A rated. Anyway, not bragging. Just Chess and Art are the two things I do well.
  21. Oh, I haven't even got to this forum yet. My troubles are I have photos on Imgur. I have seen them but It won't let me down load any of them to place here.
  22. You guys have much better amps and equipment than me. But then I just play for self entertainment. Now CHESS. There's my favorite hobby. Mom told me I had an uncle that taught me to play at 2 years old or tried to. I just remember playing it as long as I can remember. I get frustrated if I lose. To date, I beat 3 expert players and one candidate Master. No one will play me. So I have to play Kasparov computers.
  23. And women say, Why Do You Need So Many Guitars For? Mine would say, And why do you need another red one for? you already have a red one. Haha.
